Jamar I didn’t realize Amber and I had fallen asleep in the hospital bed until I heard water running from behind the bathroom door. I held my arm in front of my face as I peered at my Apple Watch. 6:15 looked back at me. Amber and I had been asleep for a little more than an hour. After finally getting to hold and then kiss her, I didn’t want to leave. I really meant what I said. I would apologize for the rest of my life if it meant she stayed with me. Then again, Amber choosing not to reject me immediately let me know that she was willing to at least give me a chance to fix things. I kissed the top of her hair and then took a deep breath.
