I was going crazy. Seeing Terrance run off into the field of warriors without so much as a second glance made me worried. Amber had found me and together we ran for our lives. The longer we waited, the more my heart broke. We all knew that Jamar’s mom had been taken. Luna Jelena seemed to be keeping it together better than anyone else. I admired her so much at that very moment. “Thank you for being our strength.” I quietly said to her. “Come here.” She opened her arms as if she were going to embrace so I went willingly. She patted her lap and I wasn’t sure if she wanted me to sit or lay my head down in her lap. I chose the latter and gently laid my head down. She began to pull all the hair away from my face.
