Terrance It had been 2 weeks since the memorial for our fallen packmates and we were still mourning. I couldn’t even go to school because I was instantly reminded of Sayed’s presence. If I thought I was taking it hard, JD was taking it the hardest. He had even quit the basketball team. Nobody had seen him since the day we laid Sayed to rest. I had other things on my mind though. Aliana and I had been spending more time together. I just realized how short life was. My heart constantly ached for my daughter Amala. I decided I was going to propose and then marry Aliana all in one day. We had already marked one another so I didn’t feel like we were rushing at all. I knew I needed to at least get advice from someone. I took out my phone and texted JD. *me* aye man, I know it’s been hard. U
