He stood there, without uttering a word. My mind was a whirlwind of emotions. The loud sounds of the mall faded into the background as his eyes bored into mine, asking me questions. I didn't think he could see my eyes because of the sunglasses but somehow he still managed to look into them. My eyes held many questions as well.
"Sinn? I'm going to my surgery.... Would you like to accompany me? I would feel less afraid...."
"Surgery?"
"Yeah, my LASIK. I'm getting it today."
"Sorry, I need to work on something. Bit busy, so I can't come."
"Do you need any help with it?"
He paused for a while and said, "No, I'm good. Be safe and don't be afraid. Trust me I would've come if it wasn't important. It really is."
