That was a bad time for Pocahontas County. I always called it the year of the frogs. I mean, what else could you call it? There were frogs everywhere. They"d even plop in the house if anyone was fool enough to leave a door open. It used to be folks in Pocahontas didn"t really think much about frogs, except to sit out in an evening and listen to them croak. True, some people were afraid of them.
