19I told no one about the raven. Besides both Damon and Aeria were asleep when I returned. When morning came, I took a closer look in the mirror in the bathroom to inspect the damage the raven had done. There was nothing: no scratches, no blood, nothing—as if it had never happened. The only reminisce of the encounter was a small black feather, buried deep in my hair. When I returned to my room and my computer, there was an email from Leo. He had sent an explanation of last night’s discoveries, and even included a copy of the audio file. He suggested we open it and try to slow it down to hear the words.
