Willows POV
I sit and finish my to do list for today before I start on what Amber asked of me. I look into Salman and find that he has nothing bad on his record. I looked at both juvenile and adult records and they were spotless. I decided I would reach out to his alpha to ask a few questions which isn’t unusual for this kind of situation. I picked up my office phone and dialed his number.
The phone rang twice before a male voice began speaking.
“Hello?” the voice asked.
“Hello, this is Luna Willow from the Silver Moon Pack. Is Alpha Abraham Mason available?” I asked.
“Speaking, what may I do for you Luna Willow?” he asked kindly.
“What can you tell me about Salman Mckinney?” I ask him.
“He’s a very kind man. He never got in to any fights with anyone unless it was to protect others. He always volunteered to help out with our orphanage and a homeless shelter we run” he said. This all sounded very good indeed and I could tell he wasn’t lying.
“Ok thank you for this information Alpha Mason” I said to him.
“Of course it was my pleasure, now is there anything else I can help you with?” he asked me.
“No that was all” I said to him.
“Well then Luna Willow you have a wonderful day” he said.
“You as well” I responded before hanging up. I added the knowledge to my folder of information I was gathering on Salman. I looked at my calendar and noticed that tomorrow me and Ansel would be talking with him to see if he wanted a temporary membership to our pack. This would be the perfect opportunity to get the rest of the information I needed. Perhaps I could have everything ready for Amber in the next two days or so which I know would be a relief to her. I’m glad she is finally considering giving him a chance. She deserves to find love, especially after everything she’s been through. Maybe once she accepts and completes the mating bond with Salman she’ll be able to speak again.
I get up and leave my office when my stomach starts to feel a bit off. I’m not sure if it’s nausea, anxiety, fatigue, or a combination of the three but I try to brush it off. By the time I get to my room I have to run to the bathroom and I throw up in the toilet. I retch everything in my stomach and even once all of that has come out I still can’t stop. Finally it does stop. I sit on the floor too weak to move at the moment. Once I have the strength to I get up, flush the toilet, and clean myself up. I decide to mind link Ansel letting him know I would not be joining him downstairs for dinner. I explained I wasn’t feeling well and he understood. He had someone send me up some ginger tea and crackers to help me feel better. I drink the tea slowly and nibble on the crackers. Within about ten minutes my stomach has finally quieted down. I decide to get ready for bed and sleep.
When I wake up in the morning I find myself jumping out of bed and throwing up everything I ate last night which wasn’t much. Luckily I wasn’t there more then a few minutes. I look up and see Ansel is looking at me with concern.
“Shortcake I think you should go get looked at by the pack doctor” he said. I nod and get ready.
“I’m coming with to make sure you get there in one piece” he tells me once I’m dressed.
“Why do you think I’ll get lost?” I ask him jokingly. He just smiles and shakes his head.
Once we’re in the pack hospital I get taken back quickly by the doctor.
“So what seems to be the problem?” he asks.
“I’ve been throwing up a bit since last night and just not feeling the greatest” I respond. He nods and leaves the room for a moment. He comes back in and tells me he’s going to run a few tests to see whats going on. He draws some blood and does a throat swab before leaving. Me and Ansel sit there just waiting for the results of the tests hoping it’s nothing serious. Luckily our meeting with Salman isn’t till later this afternoon so we won’t have to worry about rescheduling.
After a couple of hours the doctor comes back in and has a blank look on his face. I can’t tell if it’s a good thing or bad thing and begins to make me anxious and worried.
“Well I got the results of the tests back” he says and waits a moment. Me and Ansel are practically at the edge of our seats waiting for him to continue. The doctor then breaks out into a big smile.
“Congratulations Alpha and Luna, you’re pregnant” he says. I just sit there stunned, not sure what to say or do. Ansel is just quiet next to me for a moment before speaking.
“Are you sure doctor?” he asks. The doctor nods. Then Ansel kneels down in front of me taking my hands in his.
“Baby, thank you! Thank you for giving me a family. I hope you’re as happy as me” he says. I just smile and begin to cry happy tears. While I do feel as though I’m a bit young to be a mom, I’m also really excited and happy. I know that my children will grow up loved by both of their parents. We decide to wait a few days before announcing it to the pack so we can have a few days to ourselves to enjoy the news. We head back to our room and just cuddle in bed as we bask in the happiness and excitement of knowing we would be parents soon.
