There are a few things that separate me from the people around me.
I’m not a menacing force of nature like Ace. But seeing him come to my rescue for the third time annoyed me. There was no way I could have taken on those trained men on my own, even with my knife. They were bigger, faster, and stronger. And I had so little training compared to how vigorous and brutal they train people in the underground.
But what I am good at other things. And I won’t always be the damsel in distress, I’m tired of it. It’s time to put an end to this, and I’m going to do it live for the people my father brought to see it. If he wanted them to have a show, his humiliation will be that show.
