Chapter 1
Clash of Fates - The Ascension to Kalangitan
In a mystical encounter, Jose Rizal, guided by an albularyo, transcended realms and confronted Tikbalang, a formidable creature with a horse's head shrouded in ethereal mist.
Tikbalang: Who dares trespass in Kalangitan?
Jose Rizal: Gat Jose Rizal, a humble human seeking divine audience.
A heated exchange unfolded until Tikbalang, sensing Rizal's unwavering resolve, decided to present him to Anogalay, the goddess of lost things and protector of the family.
Approaching them, Anogalay, with an enigmatic calm, sought to understand the intruder.
Anogaay: You seem lost, mortal. Identify yourself.
Jose Rizal:Gat Jose Rizal, a Filipino human.
Anogalay: A Filipino, you say...
Jose Rizal:Indeed. Let's delve into why I'm here. I propose a battle: Gods vs Humans. The victor decides my homeland's fate.
Intrigued, Anogalay responded:
Anogalay:(intrigued and interested) HAHAHHHHAA, daring to challenge the Gods, mortal?
Tikbalang echoed agreement with a horse's hiiing, summoning hundreds of Gods who looked down upon Jose Rizal.
Anogalay: My brothers! This mortal, to save his homeland, dares to challenge us in a fight! A tournament, no less.
Other Gods: Disgraceful! Don't let him leave. Tear him apart!
All Gods: Attack him!
Jose Rizal:(sweating and nervous) It seems all the Gods fear losing the fight and gang up on me. Tsk tsk tsk.
All Gods: (grit their teeth, annoyed and angry)
Bathala:Stop! What an interesting man! I like your idea. Let's do that!
Mayari:Wow. Such a cute and dedicated human!
Bathala: Brace yourselves, brothers! We will feast! Ready! We will destroy this human!
Gods: (screams for excitement)
Bathala: Leave now, human! Gather ten heroes to face my brothers. Choose the greatest in your timeline.
Jose Rizal:Don't worry; I've found them. See you next full moon. Don't be late. We don't want to wait.
Jose Rizal walked towards the exit hall, enduring the Gods' menacing gaze and palpable killing intent.
Returning to the human world, he knelt in gratitude as the albularyo aided him.
Jose Rizal: The Gods accept my challenge! Let's get ready!
As the full moon approached, a cold breeze swept over Mactan, the chosen battleground. Thousands gathered – Gods and humans alike – excitement and nervousness, mixed emotions filling the air.
Two entities marched to the middle of the battlefield. For the human side, Leon Kilat, liberator of Cebu City led the forces that successfully liberated Cebu City from Spanish control in April 1898, faced the eerie and formidable Mangkukulam, wielding a spectrum of magic and witchcraft.
