His sneer remained. He never answered me though. "Did you hear me or are you deaf?" "I heard you." He paused and crossed his arms over his chest. "I just don't like speaking with liars." I clasped my hands behind my back. "I'm not a liar. I was merely protecting my daughters. Instead of a liar, how about a protector?" If it was even possible, his sneer got worse. "Whatever.
