Once we were in the palace, I jumped from Jacin's arms and ran to find a place to hide. The only thing that kept going through my head was, they were going to take me away. I needed to hide. I wasn't safe anymore. They couldn't get me if they couldn't find me. I kept my mind closed to any links that tried to reach me. I was terrified. "Leto!" I heard Jacin call for me. I didn't move. Footsteps cam closer and my heart pounded in my chest. "Please Leto, come out. You are safe with me." He got closer to my hiding spot.
I opened my link. "She smelled like them." I closed it.
He sighed. "Leto, you are safe. I promise you that you are completely safe."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. I will do anything to keep you safe. Even if that means I have to kill a human."
"That nurse... She smelled like my
