Hallie is a charming suburban girl often described as a "princess". She has beautiful long hair dyed in a perfect shade of bright red that complements her spontaneous personality. Her skin is fair and slightly darkened from the summer sun. Like the rest of her family, she has baby-blue eyes. Despite being frequently told that she is beautiful, Hallie could never fully comprehend why people thought so.
She would often think to herself, "I don't see it. I'm too pale, my eyes are like everyone else's, and I'm overweight. I'm not beautiful!" She knew she needed to start feeling better about herself, but she didn't know how. She couldn't keep just existing in life; she needed to feel like she was living. She would beg her parents to help, but her pleas were ignored, and they didn't take her seriously. Her siblings never talked to her, so they weren't an option. She just needs to feel loved...... and free???
One day, she decides that it is time for her to be happy. She is tired of living life on autopilot and following the paths that others have set for her. She packs all her clothes into a single bag and sets off in her car.
However, her family, who are wealthy and snobbish, begin to cut ties with her one by one. Eventually, she is left with no one to turn to for help as she tries to live the life that was taken from her at a young age.
Unfortunately, she runs out of money, and with her family's abandonment, she is left with no options.
she goes to one of her friends, Brent, house to hang out for a few and collect herself.
As she pulls into the driveway, she notices a large number of cars parked outside. Is there a party going on? That's strange, she thinks to herself. Despite her suspicions, she continues walking towards the house.
As she enters, she finds that the house and yard are both filled with people. She makes her way towards her friend's room, and upon entering, she sees him sitting on the bed engaged in a conversation with their mutual friend, Ashley, which quickly stops when she walks in.
As all eyes drilled into her, she scanned the room and in the corner. she spotted, HIM. He was so beautiful that her heart suddenly felt calm, and all her worries vanished. She was intrigued by his ability to make her feel accepted after a lifetime of feeling out of place. She felt a deep desire to figure out who he was and how he could have such a powerful effect on her.
""Hallie! What the hell are you doing here?" Brent yells, startling Hallie and breaking the connection between her and the mysterious man.
"I know, I know! Don't hate me. My family won't help me, and I had nowhere to go. My gas is almost out, so I came here to figure out what I'm going to do. Brent, I'm scared. I have no one."
Brent says, "Okay, but I have something going on. Let me tell these people the party's over. I would hate for our princess to get hurt."
What does he mean? Why would she get hurt? That's unusual. Maybe he's just kidding. But he is telling everyone to leave.
She can't stop herself from going back to that man. He's still there and still seems so perfect. He was one of the only people who was allowed to stay when the party was over. He was very shy and didn't talk much to Brent and Ashley. Although they would ask him questions, his responses were always short and quick.
She is going to figure out who he is and, most importantly, why she is feeling the way she is. Even if it kills her.
