Step 2: Gathering the Ingredients

I feel that the colors of my face flushed out when I saw Ethan drinking the Iced Americano. I was in denial that it happened. What the hell happened while I was gone, and why did Ethan drink the drink that was for Leo? I slowly walk towards our table and feel how cold my hands are because of the situation.

I fake my smile thinking that I was imagining things. When I reached our table, I confirmed that what I saw was true and not an imagination. Ethan was really drinking the Iced Americano with the potion. It can't be happening, my mind goes haywire not processing what just happened — my mind doesn't accept what just my eyes saw.

"Sunny, are you alright? You look so pale. Did something happen?", Leo worriedly asked as he reached my hand. A small smile on his face when he looked at me. I just want to cry right there and then. But I stopped myself from crying. I need to know what just happened.

"No-nothing I ju-just, I'm just tired", I answered him, faking a smile. By then I saw a smirk on Ethan's face while he stared at me. It seemed that he was amused or rather curious about what's happening right now.

I just ignored his stares and asked Leo what's been bugging me since I came back from the restroom.

"Did I order something wrong? I remember you asked me to order an Iced Americano for you and Iced Latte for Ethan. But you're drinking the Iced Latte."

"I think I was the one to blame for that. I originally like the Americano but thanks to Ethan, he remembered that I should cut down on my caffeine since my doctor asked me to. I was stupid right, so instead of buying another drink which is a waste of money Ethan volunteered to exchange with me."

"Ohh I-I see." I was stuttering, my palms were sweating too much. I can't accept the fact that my plan failed and there's someone who drank the potion other than Leo. I'm still processing everything when Leo's phone rings. A smile crept onto his face when he saw who called and answered it right away.

"Hazel??? Yes, why do you call Love? Hmm yes, nothing much. I'm just at a cafè near our campus. Really? Great, alright wait for me there love. Be there in a while bye."

Lo-love??? Hazel? Does he have a partner? Maybe she was Leo's sister. Maybe.

"Is that Hazel? What does your girlfriend want now?", Ethan asked.

"Gi-girlfriend?" I whispered to myself but those words were heard by the two of them. I feel my heart is cracked and guilt takes over my system. The boy I liked was happily in a relationship. He was happy with someone other than me, and I almost took that happiness away from him. I'm so stupid.

"Yes. Sunny, I think we have to go to see Hazel. She really needs me now, I am really really sorry. I'll make up with you tomorrow. Yeah?"

"Ah sure no worries. I can manage, you guys can go don't worry about me."

"Thank you so much Sunny"

With that Leo and Ethan stand up and leave. The moment Leo turned his back at me, the tears I kept from falling dropped down from my eyes like a waterfall.

I fished out my phone in my pocket and dialed Sky's number. After a few rings Sky answered, "This better be important Sunny Valentin. I am in the middle of a da-"

"Sky........ I messed up. I'm so stupid Sky, I messed up so bad.", I said even before Sky finished what he were saying and sob to tears.

"Where are you?", Sky worriedly asked when he heard my cries. Fumbling on his things, Sky immediately goes out of the restaurant, ignoring someone — leaving his date. Sunny was much more important to Sky.

Sunny and Sky found themselves in Sky's condo, with Sunny still crying her eyes out. Sky, concerned for her friend, handed her a cup of water in an attempt to help her calm down.

"Drink this and calm down, Sunny. And tell me exactly what happened," Sky urged, trying to understand the situation.

"I did it." Sunny managed to say between sobs.

"Did what Sunny?" Sky asked, growing increasingly worried.

"I went to the witch's house downtown and successfully obtained a love potion. I used it on Leo's drink," Sunny confessed, her voice trembling with regret.

"What the hell, Sunny? Didn't I tell you it was a bad idea? Why didn't you listen to me? But what's done is done. Why are you crying now? I thought this was what you wanted," Sky expressed a mix of frustration and concern.

"Leo didn't drink the potion. He has a girlfriend, and I feel incredibly guilty for what I've done. I almost ruined Leo's life because of my foolishness," Sunny explained, her tears flowing uncontrollably.

"Oh what's the matter then? Leo didn't drink it. Why are you still crying?" Sky questioned, trying to understand the situation.

"Because Ethan drank the potion instead. I don't know what to do, Sky. I need your help," Sunny pleaded, her voice filled with desperation.

Sunny continued to cry, feeling overwhelmed by the consequences of her actions, when suddenly, she heard Sky's scream, "What the hell, Sunny?!" The realization of the situation dawned on Sky, and he couldn't believe the mess they found themselves in.
