Sam remembered the first time she met him. She had been juggling a stack of papers on one arm with her phone placed between her phone and shoulder as she struggled to open the door. The damn thing just wouldn't budge. Her mother had decided she needed more action in the dating scene in her ridiculously non existent life. She was trying to get of her tenth blind date.
"I am sorry Mr?"
"Smith"
"Oh right Mr Smith, I don't think I would be able to attend the date " she said" maybe you could try it with someone else."
"It's fine miss William's" the man sighed
"I apologize again" she said helplessly
This had to end. She felt like an ass everytime she had to cancel on a date. Her mom should have understood how important her job was to her and how unavailable she was for a tryst. That is when the door banged her head out of the solar system straight onto another universe.
The papers made a show of scattering all around her as she lost her bearing and landed straight to the floor on her ass and there he was.A tall big muscled man filling in the door way.He was a man alright in all the aspects of the word.she had tried ,heaveness knew she had tried but she could only stare at him dumbly. He offered her hand which she mechanically took into a firm hold thet had her spine tingling. The cause of the bigbang theory in her head. He was sinfully handsome. His eyes resembled the mid-day clear sky so cristal clear blue .Long ginger hair caught in a man bun, squired jaw with sporting ginger beard. Broad shoulders that tapered down to a slim waist. Muscled thighs coverd by black slacks. From there his legs disappeared into black shoes that shined so much she could have seen her bewildered state on them. The icing on the cake had to be that boyish grin that could melt any feminine heart. His voice however was the one that had sent her insides into a squishy mass of something she didn't think existed. The low timbre that vibrated in his chest producing a bass that made her toes curl.
"Sorry miss," as he helped her collect her vast amount of papers"I was in a hurry and didn't look where I was going".
She stammered a replay which didn't make any sense
He scanned around" Do you happen to know where the finance office would be located?"
She stammered again as she sniffed his scent of expensive french cologne.
He had stared at her in an intense almost soul searching kind of look and smile so handsome as if he did not know the power of his charm. It had been so supercharged that she squirmed as color filled her cheeks and her heart thumped erratically in her ribcage while her brain went into a state of complete lockdown.
He had handed her the papers before he said something which she didn't catch because her eyes had been glued on his mouth, beautiful like the doorway to doom where many women must have fallen. He then turned around and left. Her body which seemed out of her control turned around just to catch a glimpse of a taut muscular backside and ooh what a backside it was.
She could almost hear Regina's shrill laughter as she recounted her unfortunate incident to her friends over the phone. She could not imagine what her co-workers would say if they knew what happened to her. She probably would be in the office gossip magazines for the whole year. She groaned
"You are hopeless Sam" she said her voice horse with all the laughter
"You don't even know how right you are" Sam groaned for the hundred time. The worst thing is that the incident kept running through her mind like some broken record.
" It could have been worse," Jay offered helpfully
"Really now" she rolled her eyes.
The three of them had been close since highschool . It really didn't came as a surprise when they had decided to go to the same university and work in the same city. The bond they shared would put most sibling relationship to shame.
Rebecca was the wildest one of the three. She was a little over five foot three. She had a mane of ebony hair. The most vibrant forest green eyes that Sam had ever laid eyes on.She was always the life of the party. She seemed to crackle with life, vibrant and roaring.
Jay was the quite one. He was a gorgeous His dark eyes resembled a bottomless pit that seemed to suck you into them.He had a muscled body that seemed to be a magnet for the ladies. She had always supposed he was always a ladies man amd loved every bit of attention he got. She had been so surprised when he had came out of the closet as a gay man.
She on the other hand had always been the sensible and responsible one. She didn't think much of her physical features. With her blond hair and golden eyes ,she had always been referred to as a beauty. However she was madly in love with her job.
She loved her sales manager job. Closing deals, getting new clients is all she lived for. It had became as essential to her as breathing. She had worked hard going from an intern to a manager in five short years. Her personal life had paid the price for it. Except Her friends and family there was no one else.
No one had attracted her attention in a very long time. Now the catastrophic accident in that morning had her head spinning tales of her and the man.
Her ridiculous fantasizing should had been the end of the meeting. However as she sat on the black leather swivel seat, she could not make head or tails of her situation.
" What did you say?!" she squawked.
"Will you you deliver the file to his house?" he repeated.
