“Why do you even want to go to high school?" Parker asked as she and Damien walked down their block. “I mean, you've got to already know everything they have to teach. Isn't there something more you'd like to do with your immortality?"
Damien grinned at her, giving her hand a little squeeze.
“I'm not very good at being around people," Damien said, causing Parker to laugh. She shook her head when he raised a thick eyebrow at her.
“Damien, people adore you," she said. “You're so nice and friendly. Not to mention gorgeous!" Damien chuckled.
“I mean I'm not good at being around them because it is hard for vampires to be around so many flowing sources of blood all the time," he clarified. Parker sighed, nodding.
