Parker was lying on Lucien's bed, stomach down, legs in the air as she kicked them back and forth. She was catching up on the schoolwork she'd missed since Lucien had started taking her on adventures, at his insistence. Lucien was sitting at his desk flipping through an old leather-bound book.
“You know Geometry, right?" Parker asked, looking over at Lucien. He glanced up from the magazine, raising an eyebrow.
“I do," he said.
“Am I ever really going to need it outside of high school?" she queried. Lucien chuckled.
“I never needed it before high school. Then again, my education was at the tip of a spear," he nodded to the various weapons on display around his room.
