"I am back, boss. "There is no need for you to be worried anymore. ""I have the briefcase right here with me," Kelly held the briefcase and stood far away to describe his experience at the bank. Although he was aware of his mistake, he still lacked the courage to approach McKenna and give him the briefcase. He is untouchable, so nobody dares to mess with him. Kelly had witnessed that countless times before, especially Pamela's mother, the most recent victim. A few months back, a former accountant was apprehended for stealing from McKenna. McKenna chooses to act unconcerned by the incident instead of reporting it to the police. With no fuss, he released the thief. The former employee was discovered dead in his flat the following day in what appeared to be a suicide. A few employees who were aware of the gold theft believed McKenna was the cause of the death. However, they were unable to arrest McKenna due to a lack of evidence. Kelly is so terrified that he is going to end up like the former employee that he almost urinates in his underwear. "Are you done talking? After a long moment of silence, McKenna finally said Kelly stuttered in response, "Yes, sir." "After spewing that trash, you expect me to dive straight into your arms for a job well done?" McKenna gave wicked laughter. "I felt the need to apologize and narrate my experience at the bank. "You have probably heard about what happened already," he clarified. "Your apology is pointless. It will not make up for the fact that you made a mistake and need to face the consequences. The briefcase is missing. Where is it? "For now, that is all that matters to me?" McKenna made a request. Kelly pointed to the briefcase and said, "Right here, Boss." "You are exacerbating the already dire circumstances. Come set it down on the table right now. McKenna ordered, placing his hands beneath his chin. "I cannot bear the risk of approaching you. Please spare me." Kelly freaked out, scuttling closer to keep McKenna from hitting him with an object. His eyes darted over the office's four walls, making sure McKenna was alone. Seizing the opportunity to make sure McKenna had no gun in his hands, he glanced deftly below the desk. "I adore those who accept accountability for their deeds without placing blame elsewhere. It demonstrates their level of accountability. "For that reason, you won't be punished," McKenna assured Kelly, and allayed his fears. "Are you being serious?" Kelly asked. He wasn't certain if McKenna would let go of him without hurting him. "I am a man of few words. I do not contradict myself. Let's get back to work. "I needed you to run a couple of errands while you were aware," he pledged to protect Kelly. Kelly stopped where he was standing, not persuaded enough. He did not even try to move from his current position. He has no faith in Scott's words or deeds. He suspects a trick and foul play. "If you just stand there and ask me dumb questions like a dummy, I will be forced to change my mind. "You are forcing me to talk too much, and I hate to say it again." Shrugging away from Kelly, McKenna muttered and turned back to his computer. "I apologize, sir. "Disregard my foolish demeanor." Kelly hurriedly sat in front of McKenna and set the briefcase on the desk. "Alright! Open the damn briefcase. I want to be certain the money is complete. It slipped my mind. "I did not realize I was going to open it," Kelly said. His return to normalcy took some time. "You seem apprehensive and strange to me. "What have you done this time?" McKenna questioned Kelly. McKenna finds Kelly's body language worrisome. He does not appear to be in great physical condition. He was becoming too restless and shaky. I didn't do anything. "I'm fine, boss. "I am just nervous and scared," Kelly shivered. "Why are you scared? I have already assured you that you're safe. Now back to business. Is the money complete?" McKenna asked after pulling out a bundle of dollar notes. He smelt the minor notes and dropped them back. "Of course, it's complete. I made sure of that before exiting the bank. "After what happened, I would be a fool to commit another blunder," Kelly assured. However, he still wasn't certain of his utterances. He had already fumbled with the first check and nearly lost it. He wasn't ready to lose this either. "Why do I feel you're telling a lie? "It's difficult for me to trust you for the second time. "That was how you assured me you would cash the check without difficulty, but see what happened eventually." McKenna got pissed off and slammed the desk in annoyance. I take full responsibility, sir. I shouldn't have let this happen. This shouldn't be happening to someone like me. I didn't even know how she managed to smuggle the check from me. It was a smooth operation. "I haven't seen such a technique before," Kelly explained. Wow! "Quite fascinating," McKenna clapped. Although, it was an applause of mockery. She must be a pro. "Did she threaten you with any sophisticated weapon before stealing the check?" McKenna took a jibe at Kelly. Sophisticated weapon? Where would she get it from? Sir, she's just a damn cleaner at the bank. I doubt if she can afford a proper meal. "There's nothing special about her," Kelly replied while despising Amanda, Pamela's mother. You are the biggest fool on earth for saying that. See how horrible you sound. I hate to admit this, but you make more sense when you're mute. Well, I'm not surprised. You haven't made sense since you got employed. I thought you were smart. I guess I was wrong with that assumption. "How can you allow a mere cleaner to steal from you?" McKenna attacked Kelly verbally. He had been waiting for Kelly to speak about the stolen check and he did.
