“I’m leaving. It’s been five minutes and still nothing from him.” Said Aria. She left Emilie alone without thinking what might have happened. Aria most of the time does things impulsively without thinking. As she was walking she saw Samuel laying on the ground. When she noticed that there was some ice on his hand she knew that Osir fought him and didn’t come back like he said he would.  “You’re so annoying!” Shouted Martin. Osir was running around him and shooting with a taser in one hand. He was using his ability with his left arm to weaken Martin. Martin stopped each shot by slowing them with the wind but he also used his ability to cool down his head.  Aria moved to a better spot. She hides behind the tree behind Sofia. She was still able to move but when she aimed at Osir she got shot by Aria. Martin didn’t notice that because he was too focused on fighting with Osir. Finally, Martin switched to offense.  “I’ll end it quickly!”  He jumped at Osir with a bat. The closer he got the more heat he felt. Martin tried to hit Osir but his eyes already played tricks on him because of the heat and he missed. Martin jumped away and immediately shot. Osir barely dodged and hid behind the tree.  “He won't come close to me now because I missed my one opportunity. I can’t shoot him and if I come close he will just jump away… There is only one option left.”  Osir fastly ran toward Martin with the bat ready to hit him. Martin was getting ready to jump away with the wind but he slipped. Osir made ice under him. Martin used his ability while he was on the ground so he dragged himself with the wind away from Osir. “Now Aria!” Shouted Osir.  Aria showed herself and shot Martin. He stopped the bullet but it wasn't the only thing coming his way. Aria moved the bat with her ability and paralyzed Martin. Drones announced a win for Osir’s team.  “Well done Aria!” “... How did you know I was here?” “I detected your body temperature. Since we’re asking questions… Why did you press the button?” “Huh? What do you mean why? I didn’t see it.” “It was right behind you…” Osir pointed to the tree that she was hiding behind.  “Ehh… haha…”  All students gathered in front of a white tent where Mr. Allen himself was going to inform them about the scores of the test.  “Who is that old guy?” Whispered Aria. “I don’t recommend you speaking like that in his presence. He is able to hear you clearly.” Said Osir. “How?!” “He is Center School director and Serpent Rank at that.”  Mr. Allen looked at Osir and winked at him. Then Mr. Allen clapped his hands once but everyone heard that.  “Some of you know me and some not. My name is Gabriel Allen. I’m the director of Center School and one of the two European Serpent rank esper. Today, you learned that at war there are a lot of unexpected things like traps, snipers or hidden turrets. Most of you overcome those obstacles and think of each other. You also made some mistakes but you’re just the first year. Remember that at war those mistakes might cost you your lives. Normally the first year's test is only a march through the forest but we need to train potential generals so we’ll choose three of you as a potential candidates.”  Everyone got excited because to be general you need to work as a soldier for at least two years, prove your loyalty and strength. Also, there is a privilege to health care.  “First I’ll read the names of the people that didn’t pass the exam and will be trained as normal soldiers. Bramkov, Weber and Baros. There is nothing to worry about because you still can still become esper soldiers. In a year there will be a special test for you. The rest of the people passed the test. Now, Osir, Martin, and Wanda step out of the line.” They got in front of the line. Most surprised was Wanda because her team lost one member in march. Martin tried to look proud but he was furious that he lost to Osir.  “You were chosen to become the general candidate, because of your strength and smart thinking. In a month your teams will get special espers training and you’ll be participating in some of the strategic meetings. We expect lots of things from you candidates!”
