The test has already begun. It was a fair match three on three. Both teams were cautious and let scouts first find enemies' bases. Osir was at a disadvantage since Samuel can feel every vibration in a certain range. He chose to jump from tree to tree as high as he could to not be found that easily. 

Osir saw Samuel walking close to the ground touching it every few seconds. He was concentrated yet a little bit frustrated. Osir watched him for a while when he noticed that he was going toward him. 

“He didn’t detect me. Right? No… He still moves in a weird way.” Thought to himself Osir.

He tore off the bark, froze it to throw it further away. As soon as bark landed Samuel panicked. He knew where something moved but he knew how smart Osir is, so he looked every way except above him. 

Osir slowly tried to climb down so he could have a better chance to shoot Samuel. Osir was still climbing down and when he was close Samuel panicked and touched the ground. He immediately looked at Osir, they both aimed at each other with tasers and shot at the same time. Osir fell from the tree and Samuel was shot in the leg so he wasn’t completely paralyzed. He couldn't move so he was only touching the ground to guard the area. 

“Why is this getting so cold here…” Said to himself Samuel. 

Samuel fell numb because of that taser. He thought that this was a side effect of those tasers but he was surprised when after a minute Osir stood up without any problem. 

“How… Huh…” Samuel wanted to shoot him again but his hand was frozen, he couldn’t move it.

“I froze my uniform so It didn’t paralyze me. I was just acting and meanwhile, I froze your hand so… Goodbye.” 

On the south side of the arena, there was a button guarded by Emilie and Aria.

“What is taking him so long… Did he lose or got in trouble?” Said Aria.

“You know how smart he is. He wouldn’t go down so easily and It’s even a fight, everyone here is rank D esper.” Said Emilie.

“If he doesn’t come back in five minutes I’ll go to the button myself.”

As Osir was looking for the enemy base he was welcomed by Sofia. 

“Martin isn’t here? Well, I hoped to fight him with at least more strength but if he wants to be beaten by me in that state… So be it!”

“What? Are you some enemies or something? Jeez! Just like kids…Whatever. You won’t be fighting Martin because I’ll stop you here.” 

Osir was the first one to charge. Sofia was surprised but with her ability, she was able to dodge every attack from Osir. It looked like they were fighting in close combat but in reality, Sofia was a few meters away. She disabled her ability for a second as shot him from a few meters. Osir dodged it but then Sofia was going for her surprise attack. She was going to paralyze Osir by hitting him in the stomach. For him, it looked like she was going to swing from far away but she was close. Osir grabbed her hand and hit her with the bat in the leg just in time. She was surprised that he wasn’t tricked like others.

“How did you... “ 

“I read your temperature. You can change my vision but It won’t work on me.”

“What! Isn’t that mean that your rank is…”

“C? Yes, it looks like I reached this rank just today and Martin came out! I know you’re behind that tree!”

Martin came out behind the tree. He wasn’t happy about what he heard earlier. He just stood there and looked around to know in what kind of situation he is.

“So you came alone? Isn’t that too cocky for smart ass like you…”

“Maybe? But since I’m smart ass I know that the button is close because someone needs to guard it right?” 

After those words, Martin only wanted to crush Osir but his face changed fast from furious to smile.

“You know… I’m also C rank but for at least two days! So why should I fear a new C rank!?”

“Wanna find out?”
