Chapter Eight

I started for the cafeteria with a mission to talk to Kat. When I got there in the crowded area, I saw her sitting at a table with 3 other girls. I was heading towards her table when a girl came up behind her and dumped a liquid on her. She stood up and spun around and the girl began to get in her face and when Kat said something back the girl slapped her across the face.

Before I knew it the whole cafeteria was flooded with students, and faculty trying to get thru them to the middle of the commotion. I had much better luck rushing to the middle to see what was happening. As I got to the front, I saw my mate throw the girl over her shoulder.

Kat POV

I got out of class and rushed to the cafeteria to get with Ashley, Valerie, and Kate to tell them about my morning with Asher and Chris. I got to the table and sat down rather quickly. The girls all jumped which made me laugh.

"Holy s**t Kat you scared the hell out of me!!" Kate says breathless

"What's gotten into you?! Laughed Valerie.

I smiled." I'm so sorry I scared you ladies BUT! I need your advice on something."

"Okay, tell us!" Ashley leans in and says.

"Okay Valerie so remember yesterday and how I was late for Mrs. Ruelle's class?"

She nods, "Okay so I'm trying to find the office to get my schedule and this guy bumps into me, just knocks me down and takes off. But this guy is hot like extremely hot. When he's near me I feel like electricity is coursing through me, all over. I just met him yesterday. How can I feel that way for him?" The girls look at each other and stare at me. "Then this morning, Val when you were talking about the hottie that wanted to see me during lunch. What was his name?"

"I think he said his name was Asher." Val says with Kate nodding in agreement.

I sighed, " Well you'll never guess. It seems he didn't want to wait, because this morning after I talked with you Ashley he cornered me at the lockers."

"What?!" Ashley says. "Why didn't you say anything?"

"I don't know I was trying to process what happened I guess."

"Well I say steer clear of Asher. He's a tool and I should know. He's my brother."

"WHAT?!" Kate, Val and I say in unison which causes us as well as Ashley to laugh.

"Ya unfortunately. He dated Ella, that's why I can't stand her." Ashley states matter of factly.

"Wow. And to think you almost had her for a sister in law!" Val jokes making Ashley fake gag.

"Asher off limits, got it!" I say with a smile. "But what do you ladies think of my Chris situation?" And before they could reply, they watched in horror as a drink was poured on me by none other than the hateful b***h Ella.

The girls sat there with shocked expressions on their face, while I on the other hand felt my blood begin to boil. I spun around and faced her. "What the f**k is the matter with you?!" I growled.

"I told you I wasn't done with you, b***h!" She spat as she got in my face.

"Well you got my attention! I'm standing right here Ella! Why not do something better so you can deserve an ass whooping cause I'm tired of your s**t!" Before I knew it Ella's hand was flying across my face. The hit was hard and stung my eyes but it didn't knock me back. Instead it drove me to launch at her knocking her against a table nearby.

She was scratching and clawing and trying to get out from underneath me but I hit her with three blows to the face. She landed one and knocked me to the side. She jumped on me and I bucked her off as I did my dad the day before during training. She stood up and I felt like an animal as I ran to her and grabbed her whole body and flung her over my shoulder. She lay on the floor not moving and I suddenly became exhausted.

I sunk to my hands and knees keeping my eyes on Ella. She was breathing rather hard and everyone around was chanting, what..I didn't know. The girls ran to my side and asked if I was okay but before I could answer them I felt a hand grab my arm and put it over their shoulder and a hand around my waist guiding me out of the circle of students.

I was rushed outside with the girls hot on our tail. I look to the side and see Chris. He leads me to a car and sits me on the front of it. He turns to the girls and says something to them but I couldn't make out what. They nodded and looked over at me with concern in their eyes. They handed Chris my bag and turned as they went back inside.

Chris kneeled in front of me and was watching me as I bent forward. My body ached but it wasn't from the fight. I felt like I was going to burst out of my skin. I was breathing hard and fast with anger. Chris grabbed my face and looked up at me.

"Kat, you have to breathe. Look at me Kat, I don't know if you understand what is happening to you but you have to slow down your breathing so your heart can slow."

Panic rose from within me, what if there is something wrong with me? How do I go to my dad with this? He will never understand! I was looking around trying to ignore the feeling like something inside me was trying to claw out of me. I buckled and fell to the floor in pain. I'm scared. I don't know what this is. "Chris! You have to leave! Something is wrong with me you have to go before I hurt you!" I cried out in agony.
