Kyle and Christina walked back to the building that Celeine was in. She was already standing outside waiting on them. Kyle quickly kissed Celeine and stood by her side leaving Christina to feel like an awkward third wheel. Celeine smiled at them both then curiously asked, "So what have you two been doing?" Kyle quickly came up with a most believable story. He said that they had just been in the library. Christina was doing homework and he was listening to music. Celeine seemed to be pleased but Christina was thinking, "Whoa. What a lie. We were nowhere near the library." She kept her thoughts to herself and just smiled at Celeine. Kyle kept stealing glances and shooting smiles at Christina. Christina was still shaken from the kiss but thought that it would be best if she just let Kyle do all the talking and she would just smile. Kyle was a wonder with words and just kept filling Celeine's head with a bunch of believable lies. One after the other.
The next day was Friday. Kyle knew that he had to go slow with Christina. After yesterday he wanted to try and hold her hand before he went in for another one of those mind blowing kisses. Just like the previous two days, the three friends met up when Christina got there after her parents dropped her off. As normal, Celeine and Kyle were there before Christina. As the three friends gather together, Celeine states that she needs to go to the campus bookstore. To keep up appearances, Kyle keeps up with Celeine as Christina follows behind. Christina is silently wondering if she did something wrong the afternoon before. Kyle seems a little more distant than usual even when he sends her one of those earth shattering smiles. Just as Christina is about to make an excuse to leave the two, Kyle states that he needs Christina's advice on a book. Christina simply shrugs her shoulders and calmly walks behind Kyle to an aisle that is a good distance from where Celeine stands. Kyle makes sure that no one is around and listening before he turns to Christina and leans in for a kiss. He then tells her that he wants her. He reassures her that she didn't do anything wrong and he still very much wants some more alone time with her. He tells Christina that if he acts distant when Celeine is around it is because he doesn't want to hurt Celeine, at least not now. Christina is unsure of what to say or do. Kyle takes her hand and tells her how much he is looking forward to more time with her. He does his best to let Christina know how much he needs her. Kyle kisses Christina one last time before walking out of the aisle and going to Celeine. As the three head to Kyle's class, he catches Christina's hand every chance that he gets and reassuringly rubs her palm with his thumb.
Later that same afternoon, Celeine and Christina get the chance to talk like they haven't since high school. Celeine makes a fatal mistake. She asks Christina what she thinks of Kyle. "What should I do?", Christina thinks to herself. Christina begins to ramble on about how Kyle is bad boy and trouble for Celeine all the while thinking to herself how she can keep Kyle from hurting Celeine but still kissing her. What a dilemma. Celeine listens to Christina tell her how much of a bad boy Kyle is and how he will just end up hurting her if she doesn't dump him first not knowing what has been happening between Kyle and Christina. Christina didn't want to be the reason behind the breakup. She knew that it was coming but she didn't want to be the reason.
It was almost time for Kyle to get out of class so Celeine and Christina walked back to his building. Kyle looked out the window of the classroom and saw Christina first. He smiled at the thought of her and those velvety lips. Kyle just knew he had to keep Christina in his life. He knew that he was going to have to let go of Celeine but he didn't want to hurt her. How was he going to do that without letting go of Christina in the process. He had to hold on to Christina at all cost. Lord help him but Kyle was falling in love. He had been in love before but it wasn't the slow ooey gooey love that was how Christina had him feeling. He had never been a teacher before and he was loving it. He was falling in love, but knew that he must go slowly with his shy white rose. He wanted her to blossom from the love he was showing her. A shy girl would become a woman in his arms.
