(Scarlett’s POV) I glanced out the window and noticed we had traveled a great distance from home and sighed as I felt a heavy weight in my chest. As we approached the destination, Mr. Stone smirked and looked out his window as well. I saw a sizable house, at least three, maybe four stories. It was amazing and I couldn't help but let my jaw fall open. Who were these guys exactly? It was massive and sneaking away wouldn't be too much of a problem due to the massive forest located behind it. We made it to the building and Stone stepped out after the driver got out. A group of people walked over, and a few people went to the window I was sitting next to and stared at me in awe. I felt like a fish in an aquarium with all those eyes on me. I sighed a little more as the man opened the door, then pulled me out and kept a decent grip on my arm. I noticed Mr. Stone was standing there staring down at me. "Welcome home Scarlett." Stone said while keeping his eyes on me and gesturing to the crowd of people and the literal mansion. "These are some of the people in the pack. Be nice to them." I was going to speak but a few large wolves ran over, causing me to jump behind the man holding me. My heart was pounding in my ears but something was tugging at me, it wasn't the man but something in my chest. I couldn't understand it until I heard a smooth yet agitated voice speak. "Where the hell have you been? You said you had business matters, but I see you have a girl! What's the meaning of this!" his voice was harsh but slightly comforting in a weird and twisted way. I stepped out from behind the man. Before I could speak or react, I noticed the guy was basically the spitting image of Mr. Stone. He was slightly more muscular and wore a dark tee-shirt and a pair of jeans. He looked like a god. I looked away before he could notice. As I did, he got closer, I could smell a strong scent of musk mixed with cologne off of him. A low growl emerged from his chest, it felt animalistic as thoughts whirled in my mind, causing heat to rise to my face. "Why is she here? Who even is she?" he said in a low tone as he gripped my chin and forced me to look him in the eyes. He had to bend forward slightly due to his massive height in comparison to mine. His emerald green eyes shone in the sunlight. This man was seriously heaven. He looked deep into my eyes and I could notice some thoughts going through his head. He then looked shocked as he let go of me and stepped back before glaring at Mr. Stone. He seemed slightly amused with what was happening. "The Prince's gave her to me as payment for the land. We can use her for the hunt. Unless you have other plans for her, that is." Stone had a slight smirk on his face, as if he knew something. The man looked at me in disgust, then shook his head, "No, I will need to speak to you in your office as soon as possible." He turned his back to us and walked off towards the mansion. I couldn't help but look down at my feet, both embarrassed and ashamed of myself for being flustered over a stranger. I looked at Mr. Stone, who kept the same s**t-eating grin on his face. He looked at the man and nodded, causing him to let go of me. I stepped forward and rubbed the arm he kept a grip on. I looked up and noticed the wolves that ran over were gone. Great, I get kidnapped and now I’m losing my mind. " You're coming with me. Your items will be sent to your room." He grabbed my arm gently but firmly and pulled me towards the house as the thoughts of that man earlier spun around in my head. I remained silent as we reached a bare bedroom. I glanced in then got shoved with such force that I fell on all fours. I whirled around to yell at Mr. Stone, who used his large body to block the door, his eyes practically glowing in the dimly lit room. "That man outside you met was my son Jace. You'll be seeing him around a lot, and I am the pack leader. Try anything and I can and will have the pack sent after you." He spoke casually as he kept eyes on me, as if to keep me in place. "You'll be meeting Judy. She will be teaching you how to clean the house and cook for everyone. There are a little over two hundred people here, so you'll be cooking a lot." I crossed my arms then spoke, "Will I be able to speak to my parents or friends again? You kind of took me against my will and I didn't even have the chance to say goodbye to anyone I know or love." My tone was cross. He got stern and looked like he was shooting daggers at me from his eyes. "You are not to leave; you have your phone and that's all the contact you can have with the outside world. Got it?" I went silent, then nodded as I looked back down at my feet. Is this the end of my life? Will I ever be able to see Jonas? Or find love and grow old? What's going to happen to me? I looked back up and the doorway was empty and shut, leaving me alone to my thoughts. They were no help. I ran to the door to open it but two large men stood in front of it like guards. It caused me to shut the door and proceed to collapse onto the bed and stare at the ceiling as tears fell down my face. "Get up dear, you can't eat with tears in your eyes." A soft, gentle, feminine voice spoke from the direction of the door. I sat up and saw a woman with silver hair that reached down to the middle of her back. She was holding a tray of food in her hands and walked closer to set the tray on the nightstand sitting next to the bed. "I am Judy, the head of the housekeeping and the kitchen. I'll be taking care of you while you're here." She smiled sweetly while sitting down next to me and gently brushed the stray hairs away from my face. I moved her hand away from me and made sure there was distance between us. I looked hesitantly at the food. The growling in my stomach was a sign I was hungry, but I didn't want to take it. "If you think it's poisoned, you're mistaken, it's safe. I figured since you were taken from home and probably didn't eat dinner, you were probably hungry and by the sound of that stomach roar, I'd say you are." She chuckled softly while gesturing towards the mouthwatering plate of food. I grabbed one of the rolls that was sitting next to the juicy looking chicken and the bowl of fruit with whipped cream. I groaned at how delicious it was. The bun melted in my mouth, so I eagerly grabbed the fork and bit into the chicken, which also melted into my mouth. Judy was chuckling while gently patting my head, "Some clothes will be brought up to you so you can clean up. You will also be given your regular items soon. They are just checking them to make sure you don't have intentions of killing the Alpha or his son." I froze and swallowed the food while looking at her, "Alpha? That's Mr. Stone, right? And that guy outside, Jace? That's his son." I spoke between chews of the food She nodded and chuckled while she got a napkin and held it out so I could clean my face, "You are correct, Jace is next in line for being the Alpha, shortly after the hunt." I froze then looked at her, "So.... what is this hunt? Is it killing me and making me dinner?" Judy went slightly glum, "It could be that, but since you're human, it could mean becoming one of us and being a maid permanently, who knows maybe you’ll find a mate." She weakly smiled at me while I started to break into a cold sweat. "What the hell do you mean, mate? And become one of you?" I said while I swallowed the food that was sitting in my mouth. "It’s not my place to explain everything to you. Alpha Michael will have to speak about it with you. I’ve already said too much." I groaned at the thought of having to speak with him and shook my head, "If you think I’ll speak to that monster, you’re mistaken." Judy's yellow eyes narrowed as she leaned closer towards me, "You listen here, nobody speaks of Alpha Michael like that, not even a human. You keep your respect for him. If you have any questions, you ask him. Got it?" She sounded slightly harsh and it sent shivers down my spine. I silently nodded and looked down at my hands, slightly ashamed of offending the woman that was actually kind to me. She stood up and patted the apron that was hanging on her waist, "good. I’ll get you tomorrow at four in the morning and I’ll show you how to work the kitchen along with laundry.” She walked towards the door, then paused and glanced back at me as she then gave a small smile, then walked out, closing the door behind her. What did I just do? Angered the person that brought me food! Dammit, I need to find a way out of here and get home. I reached into the pocket of my sweatshirt and grabbed my almost dead phone and saw that I had texts and calls from Jonas. I teared up and started to call him. While I grabbed the cup of water and noticed my reflection in it, my long brown hair was a mess and my face was red. My blue eyes were also red and full of tears. "Scarlett?! Where are you? Do you know where you are? Are you safe? Please God tell me you're safe!" he was speaking so fast I could barely understand a single word he was saying. "Jonas? I'm fine, I am sitting in a room eating dinner. This place is freaking me out though! I don't know the location; I only see the woods out the window. My phone is at five percent and dropping. How are mom and dad?" I kept trying to clean the tears from my face as they fell but I gave up and held onto my phone as if it was my only source of breath. "Wait wait wait! You have a window?! You're eating dinner! Can you escape? I'm in my car trying to find you. Please tell me you will keep fighting and find a way out!" he sounded frantic and like he was going to break down any minute. "I promise I'll try my hardest. Please tell mo- hello? Jonas? Oh jeez." I looked at my phone and kept hitting the power button to try and get any signs of life. Nothing. I sat on the bed in defeat and sighed. I don't want to be here; I don't want Jonas freaking out and possibly getting into a car accident! Jesus, I'm a mess. As I was lying on the bed, a sudden wave of sleepiness hit me, causing me to yawn repeatedly. I looked at the window and noticed that the once bright day was now dark, and the stars started to shine brightly in the sky. As I started to doze off, the door swung open and my bags flew in and hit the ground with a loud thud. A man who brought them in looked at me, "your bags are clean, see you tomorrow." He turned on his heel and walked out of the room without even looking back at me. Once the door shut, I jumped off the bed and dug through the bags for a charger for my phone and found one. I sighed and plugged it in and saw the blinking light indicating it was charging. I continued to dig through the bags, clothes, shoes, pictures, my cameras from when I was in photography. I froze when I found a framed photo of my family. My parents were standing on either side of a horse as I was sitting on it. My parents looked so happy in the photo with little me on a horse with my pigtails. Tears started to roll down my face while I hugged the faint memory. I laid in bed with the photo in my arms and started to doze off.
