(Jace POV)

“I’ve decided to become a werewolf and accept Jace as my mate. I will also take on the duties as Luna.”

My ears rang from the words that Scarlett had said. I sat in shock as I looked at her with love and both concern about the pain she would be in when she changed.

“It’s decided. We will turn you into a werewolf tomorrow. Jace will have to do it by marking you. We will have you in the pack hospital in case anything goes wrong. I doubt it will since you’re half werewolf. It probably won’t phase you too much.” My fathers words removed me from my trance.

Scarlett looked at me with a worried look which made me squeeze her hand that sat in mine as I gave her a gentile smile. My dad nodded, before he gestured to the door so we could leave him be. We walked out hand in hand as I continued to head down the hall with her next to me.

“Uh, Jace? Where are we going? We should go help Ash and Hazel unpack the car.” Her words sounded slightly worried as she attempted to keep up with me.

I could only respond with a gentle squeeze to her hand. Once we got to our room, I quickly shut the door with my foot, then lifted her up and pulled her into a passionate kiss. I noticed a blush rise to her perfect face as I pulled away. She gave me a confused look as she wrapped her arms around the back of my neck.

“Are you ok, Jace? You haven’t said anything and now I feel like you’re going to keep me here with you for the rest of the day.” Her words were quiet and slightly embarrassed as she looked away from me.

I couldn’t help but smile as I buried my face into her neck, “I’m just so f*****g happy Scarlett, you accepted me as your mate and will be the Luna of our pack. It’s everything I could have ever asked for!”

She looked at me and blushed as she kissed the tip of my nose, which resulted in a small growl that rose from my throat. Goddess I am the luckiest man in the world.

Be careful Jace. She still has a lot to learn. I also feel a stronger mate pull from her.

What do you mean? We haven’t changed her yet, Hunter.

Yes, but she is still half werewolf. She could have a wolf that’s hidden deep down.

I shook the thought away as I held Scarlett close as if she were my only source of life.

(Scarlett POV)

I smiled as I was lifted into the air by Jace. My thoughts swirled as I held him tightly. What if I hate being a werewolf? I shook the thought away as Jace’s lips kept soft and light contact on my neck. It tickled and I couldn’t help but react with a small giggle.

“Goddess, Scarlett, I promise we will help you throughout the whole transformation process. I won’t leave your side until you are fully healed.” He spoke in a soft tone as he held me tighter.

I smiled down at him and was about to speak when I was suddenly interrupted by a knock at the door. Like clockwork, it was Hazel. She had Ash with her. Who appeared like he didn’t want to intrude. They walked into our room and Jace quickly, but carefully dropped me onto my feet.

“Scarlett! Did you tell Alpha Michael and Jace yet? Please tell me you did! I can’t hold secrets for too long or I’ll pop!” she practically spoke in a squeal as she bounced next to Ash who seemed to obviously know at this point.

I nodded my head as Jace held me close by my waist, “Yep. She did and we made plans to change her into a werewolf tomorrow.” He sounded proud with his words.

Hazel squealed which I had started to get used to at this point as she tackled me into a hug, “OH MY GOSH SCARLETT! We need to get you a dress for the Luna ceremony! We have to plan a Luna ceremony! Should it be at the hunt when Jace becomes Alpha?! That would be amazing! I won't let you down!”

Ashton pulled Hazel and I apart as he gave me a small yet embarrassed smile, “Hazel and I can help you any way we can. Changing into a werewolf could be painful, but since you’re half werewolf it probably won’t be as bad as I’ve heard.”

I nodded before I turned to Jace, “Thank you. Is it ok if I take a nap? Today has been crazy and I’d like a small wind down from the excitement.”

He nodded with a smile as he looked at Ashton and Hazel. Hazel gave me a hug, then said she’d bring me some food so I could spend the rest of the day in my room. Once they left I fell onto the bed and Jace followed suit with a heavy thud.

He held me close, then stroked my hair as he spoke in a soft tone, “Want me to get you a warm bath going so you could relax?”

I nodded as I kissed his cheek, “Yes please. Thank you Jace.”

He nodded, then got off the bed before he walked to the bathroom. I heard the faucet turn on from that direction. I sat up, then hugged my knees as I thought about my future. Gosh, if I become a werewolf, I won’t be able to visit Jonas or my parents. Hell, I doubt I’ll be able to travel the world. But on the other hand I’ll be with Jace and actually be happy with my life. But I can’t graduate high school and go to college. My scholarship won’t become a reality and I won’t become a photographer.

“The bath is ready, want me to leave you in there or join you?” Jace walked out as he gave me a small flirtatious smile.

His smile quickly faded as he noticed I was lost in thought, “Are you ok Shutterbug?”

I looked at him and nodded as I attempted to force a smile,“Yeah, just thinking about becoming a werewolf. You know, the pros and cons of everything.”

He nodded and walked over before he sat on the bed, then looked at me, “Go take a bath, relax, and we can make a list if you'd like, ok?”

I nodded, then sat up and kissed his cheek before I walked to the bathroom for the bath he had prepared for me. After I closed the door I could see the steam come off the water as I undressed and got in. It was hot and had a slight scent of roses. It was amazing. Shortly after I got out, I changed into a warm robe he had left on the counter for me, then walked out and spoke with Jace. He got a notebook and wrote in it as we spoke, we got a real list written on my thoughts of me becoming a werewolf.

“Ok, so we got the cons. You won’t be able to see Jonas or your family. You won’t be able to go to college, we can let you do online schooling. And for not traveling, we travel a lot. A few months ago, before you came here, Dad and I were in Europe getting some papers done for some work with the packs in that area.”

I smiled at his words, then looked at him as I brushed my damp hair in the robe, “Really? I wouldn’t mind traveling around if it means being with you.”

He smiled in return, then looked at the notebook, “And for not seeing your friends and family, you can visit them. You just can’t say anything about werewolves. Except for your parents who know everything.”

I nodded and smiled as I leaned on him on the large comfortable couch, “That's great! That takes a huge weight off my shoulders!”

He wrapped an arm around me as he smiled at the pros we had written down, “For the pros, You are with me and not forced to stay with your parents. You’ll be Luna of the pack. You have people that truly love and support you. You can have a family of your own.”

He smiled and tossed the notebook onto the coffee table in front of us before he held me close. He gave me a small tender kiss. I blushed as I started to let my lust take over. I pulled him closer by the collar of his shirt as I laid down, which resulted in a small growl from him in response. I felt a heat rise in my core as he took off his shirt, then started to pull apart the tie which held my robe closed. He slid his hand in it and started to gently massage my breast, which made me moan. Before he could fully open it, there was a knock on the door. I sat up, then quickly adjusted and tied my robe closed as I frantically glanced around for Jace’s shirt.

He sat back and gave a small groan as he hollered impatiently to the door, “Who is it?”

The door opened to reveal Hazel who was looking at the tray of food she had in her hands, “Hey. I just have some dinner for you guys, I thought you’d be hungry after everyth- OH MY GODDESS. Scarlett - Jace! Were you two gonna?! Oh my gosh! Here’s the food!”

She quickly set it on the coffee table in front of us and noticed the notebook. She picked it up, looked at the pages, then gave me a small smile, “Oh. You guys made a list? Trust me Scarlett. You can travel and visit family. You just have to be careful.”

I smiled and nodded as I quickly glanced at Jace who was still shirtless and had a slight tint of red on his face. Hazel gave a small smirk as she mouthed the words ‘tell me everything’ before she left the room.

Jace got up to shut the door, then turned around to see me as I already focused on my steak, “You were hungry huh? Any other worries you have in mind about becoming a werewolf?”

I shook my head as I looked at Jace who sat back down next to me. I leaned on him again as I continued to eat, then grabbed the remote to the television.

“What do you want to watch, Shutterbug?” He gave me a side eye as he grabbed his plate of food.

I shrugged as I swallowed the delicious mashed potatoes, then clicked a random movie, “How does Jurassic Park sound?”

He nodded, then started to dig in as we watched the movie. We both ate and had an occasional romantic moment of cuddles or a couple kisses here and there. After the movie was over I walked into the closet after I gave Jace the remote to choose the next movie.

I grabbed some pajamas, then looked over to see Jace by the doorway, “What are you doing Jace?”

He had a slight blush as he looked away, “About earlier, I’m sorry if I was a little overwhelming. I didn’t mean to do anything crazy.”

I blushed in response as I turned my back to him as I changed into my pajamas, “That? I didn’t mind. I wanted to see it go farther, but I didn’t know if we should.. You know, before you change me or before the ceremony?”

He shook his head as I felt him wrap his arms around me from behind, “My family is old fashioned, and they don’t want us doing anything until we have gone through the mate ceremony, but by turning you into a werewolf I have to mark you. It could be understandable given the circumstances, but I won’t push you into doing anything.”

I nodded and leaned against him before I turned around and kissed him, then whispered into his ear, “We could after you turn me. If I become a werewolf I’d be the only one marked and that doesn’t seem fair.”

He smiled and nodded. As he lifted me up, I wrapped my legs around his waist. I gave him a deep, yet passionate kiss. He growled once more, then walked to the bed and set me down. He crawled on top of me and kissed my neck as he moved closer to my chest then stopped.

I let out a small whine as I looked at him, “Why did you stop?”

“Like you said, we can have our fun after I change you. It wouldn’t be fair.” He had a small devious smirk.

I rolled my eyes as he laid down next to me, then kissed my cheek. We held each other in our arms as we watched the movie he had chosen. Star wars. This was surely my last night as a human. Let's hope the next day goes smoothly so I can be with Jace for the rest of my life.
