The world turned upside down. Literally. The SUV rolled. Once. Twice. I lost count. Glass shattered. Metal screamed. Bodies slammed against seats and each other. Then silence. I hung upside down, held by my seatbelt. Blood dripped into my eyes. My own? Someone else's? I couldn't tell. "Clara." Julian's voice. Weak. "Clara, can you hear me?" "Yeah." The word came out like sandpaper. "Yeah, I'm here." "The others. We need to check the others." I fumbled with the seatbelt buckle. It wouldn't release. I pulled harder. Nothing. "Julian. I'm stuck." He was moving in the front seat, twisted but alive. He reached back, grabbed my belt, and somehow found the release. I dropped onto the ceiling of the overturned car. Crawled out through a broken window. Glass cut my hands. I didn't feel it
