Chapter 19 – Red Sonja and Conan, the Barbarian

3793 Words
Ronald remained in silence, thinking. Duza asked for directions from a man walking alongside the road, and with a small nod of her head, she turned right at the next intersection. She stopped the horse in front of an enormous building that had a sign at the top saying that it was the Adventurer’s Guild. Right in front and on the other side of the street, there was one good-looking Inn. She pointed at it and told Ovaidel to go there with the others while she went with Ronald and Woof to the Guild, with a package of nearly twenty ball webs, leaving five times that amount in the carriage. When they entered, the noise from all the talks stopped. A pair of Adventurers dressed in black and red combat suits and with a big wolf tied to a rope was more than enough to call the attention of every Adventurer or servant inside. They went straight to the front desk, and Duza asked the receptionist, “Hello. Do you have any Quest asking for the web from a Spider?” “Yes, of course. There is always a high demand for that kind of thread. Why? Are you interested in applying for it? I need to see your Adventurer’s Card.” Duza placed her Card, and Ronald did the same and continued, “Here, but we want to sell the balls of web we have.” Mister Ronald, show her the package." Ronald placed on top of the desk the big wrapped blanket that he had and started to open it. The receptionist was looking at Duza’s Card in such surprise that she almost shouted, “No way! Miss Duza Sonanji! The most famous Adventurer in this region! It’s a pleasure to have you here! And Mister Ronald… let me see this package that you… so many webs! Already in balls, not sticking, ready for use… Where did you manage to get this?” Duza smiled, but with a piercing gaze that made the receptionist tremble. “Are you really asking that? We just want to sell it without going through any kind of questioning. Do you want this, or should we go to another place?” “No! I was just curious and surprised! I have a Quest for this from the City Chief and a bunch of Merchants, but those pay less. I suppose you prefer the Chief’s Quest…” Duza quickly interrupted her after making a questioning look at Ronald. Since he was frowning at hearing the City Chief was looking for the web, she continued, “I don’t want to deal with him. He will not gain anything from me if I can avoid it. How much are they paying?” “One silver coin for each ball, but with this quality and ready to use, it will be two silver coins. The Chief pays double that amount. Are you sure…” Duza interrupted again. “Using the City’s money to his advantage, it’s not difficult to double the payment… No, the Merchant’s Quest, please.” “Saying such a thing about the City Chief, it’s a little…” “Don’t you try to excuse him; he doesn’t deserve it. You know it already, or you at least suspect it, so don’t pretend he is a nice guy and insult me, okay? I need a table for dinner for seven people and this wolf. Mister Ronald, what about the boar you caught? Do you want to sell it too, or do you want to keep it? Because I think that either here or at the Inn, they can prepare the meat for you so that we can have it for tomorrow’s lunch. You just need to pay for the service of the preparation.” “I guess I want it because I want to roast the meat. If they could cut it into a one-person portion and smoke it to preserve it, I would want to ask for that service.” The receptionist nodded while looking at Woof, who was calmly seated on the floor and looking at her. “Our cook can do that as soon as you bring the boar. Tomorrow morning, you can have it for the cheap price of two copper coins. And that wolf… He is tamed? Because a wild animal in here, and such a dangerous one…” “Don’t worry, he is well-behaved as long as no one tries to attack us or mess with him. In that case, I can’t vouch for that. Mister Ronald, as soon as you get paid, do you mind calling the others and bringing the boar? I need to sit down and drink something; I am still feeling a little angry about what happened earlier.” “Of course, Miss Duza, I will be right back. Do you want Woof to keep you company?” Duza looked around, and she saw a lot of lascivious eyes towards her. “Yeah, I think it’s better, or some of these guys will try their luck with me, and they will die. I am in no mood to be hit by any of them. I already have plenty of work with a crazy man that keeps following me around and messing with my patience.” Duza made a slight smile while looking at Ronald, and she went to an empty table. Ronald made a small greeting to the receptionist and accompanied Duza. He gave Woof’s rope to her, and before leaving, he asked, “Duza, can we talk all alone later this evening? I am a little worried about what happened, and I want to be sure everything is alright with you.” Duza answered while looking at him very seriously and lowering her voice: “I understand. Not in here, at the Inn. I am sorry if I worried you; it was never my intention, but I will explain everything to you, including the way I treated you before, okay?” Ronald nodded and left. He crossed the street, and when he was about to enter the Inn, the others were leaving. He told them that Duza was waiting for them at the Guild for dinner, and they followed him to meet her. As soon as they entered, everyone stopped talking. Such a large group with the same type of combat suit, fully armed, was enough to make them apprehensive. Woof rested his head on Ari’s lap to get the usual scratching on the ears, and Taly sat down next to her and Ronald. When the servant brought wine and water for them, Taly raised his glass, asking for a toast: “To our first amusing two days! If the rest will be as entertaining as these two, this will be a memorable voyage!” They all raised a cup and drank, in complete silence and with serious looks on everyone’s faces. Taly was the only one smiling. “Why are you all so serious? Did someone die, or what?” Ari smacked his head. “Of course, someone died! Are you ‘frilting’ joking me?” “Hey, those were bad people; they don’t count. This City is safer without them! So, after dinner, I want to go for a walk around town with Ari to talk with the people. Does anyone care to escort us? Except for Miss Duza and Mister Ronald, of course, they have much to discuss because the ingenuity of Mister Ronald can hurt us one day. It would be better if Miss Duza put some sense into him, even by force if necessary. Try not to kill him, okay? I like his food!” They all laughed, except Duza and an angry Ronald. Ovaidel, Ini, and Reylom offered to escort the young couple, while Duza would remain there or at the Inn, to educate Ronald. Ari asked if Woof could go too; it would be funny to see the scared eyes of everyone in the City, and it would also serve as a means of persuasion if anyone refused to talk to her. She even asked if Woof could sleep in her bedroom later on as extra protection. They continued making evil and funny plans for their walk, even while they were eating. From time to time, someone around would look at them because of some words that they said out loud in the middle of the laughter. On more than one occasion, one even stood up while looking at them, as if he were upset by all the noise, but his comrades convinced him to sit down quietly and not draw any attention towards himself. After eating and paying, with an extra for the servant and the receptionist, they went out, with Duza and Ronald going to the Inn and the others to the central square for a visit. Duza went up the stairs, with Ronald following her, while a servant at the front desk was smiling. On the second floor, Duza went straight to the room the servant pointed out to her and opened the door, leaving it open for Ronald. He entered and closed the door. As soon as he did it, Duza hugged him and cried. She stayed like that for a while, with Ronald hugging her and feeling a little confused. Then she wiped her tears and pulled his hand. She sat on the edge of the bed, with Ronald next to her. She leaned her head on his shoulder, and after a few deep breaths, she started to talk: “I am feeling a little better, thanks. I needed to cry a little to get this anger out of me. I also want to apologize for the way that I treated you; I was so envious of you that I lost track. And you, being so carefree and thinking that everything would turn out fine just because you want it, was getting on my nerves.” “I am not angry about you putting me in my place and letting you do your job; I am worried because you killed those people with such ease that it didn’t seem right to me. I thought you were gentler, but seeing you do that was a little surprising, to say the least.” “Yeah, maybe I lost a few points with you because you saw the violent side of me. I was hoping to show that part later on when you were completely into me and nothing I did would matter, but now… Well, I don’t want to excuse myself; I did what I had to do. Those guys were responsible for killing those people buried near that checkpoint, just because they didn’t pay them. Besides, evil people don’t deserve to be City Guards. They were supposed to protect the people, not rob them. And that disgusting City Chief, I should have killed him too. I might do it before we leave; I am still mad.” Ronald caressed her cheek. “Don’t say things like that; they don’t suit you. You pretend to be tough and mean, but I have figured out everything about you and your act. You don’t need to pretend near me, and for sure you don’t need to do everything all by yourself. I can help if you let me.” Duza lifted her head and looked him in the eyes. “How can I expect you to help me? You are just a Farmer! You are very strong, fast, and have more Mana than you should, but you have a low rank. You can’t even use a sword properly!” “I never had to; give me a break! I am even learning, with no need to do it, so that you can be proud of me!” “What do you mean, you don’t need to? Everyone should know how to use a sword properly for defense in case of an emergency!” “If I face any danger, I just run from it. Or I throw this…” Ronald opened Riattus’s Card Box that he had on his necklace, hidden under his clothes, and from there, he chose one very special Card that Riattus pointed out and threw it into the middle of the room. “Come forward, my fighter, Summon Red Sonja!” From the whirlpool, a beautiful woman appeared, with a sword in her hand and a fighting stance. She quickly looked around as if she were looking for opponents, but as soon as she confirmed that there was no one else inside that room except Ronald and Duza, she relaxed. She stood up straight, placed the tip of the sword on the ground, and rested both hands on the hilt. Duza was dumbfounded. There she was: a woman with long red hair, big red lips, a slender figure, all the curves in the right place, and highly trained muscles. She had some small scars all over her body, memories of old fights, perhaps. Dressed in a very small and tight bra made of shiny, tiny metal plates and small panties with the same type of metal that ended in a triangular shape, as if it was half panties and half torn fabric. She had leather boots that almost reached her knees and leather gauntlets. Her long sword and deep blue eyes, together with a fierce expression, indicated that Duza was in front of a dreadful warrior. Sonja quickly leaned forward a little to look at them a little better, and Duza noticed her breasts were so tight in that bra that they didn’t even bounce. Her thighs were so full of muscle and ended in such a round ass that Duza started to feel envious. Sonja frowned and spoke. “You shall call me Red Sonja. Who summoned me?” “I did. I am Ronald O’Sullivan.” Duza blinked a few times, trying to focus. She was feeling like fainting. “No way… She can talk? How is that possible? I never heard about a Magical Being capable of doing that!” Red Sonja looked at Duza and made a frown of disdain. “I am not your average Magical Being, girl! I am Red Sonja!” “Hey! I am a woman already!” Sonja laughed: “Hahaha! You could fool me, girl! You have pubic hair at least? Because judging from the size of your breasts, you have a lot to grow, girl! Look at me, take a good look at me, and realize you are facing a true woman! Do you ever hear a man screaming for you to stop giving him pleasure? Or one begging for you to spare his life? I won every fight I went through on countless battlefields! Including in a bed! I never lost against a man! I am used to having men’s blood in my hands or their semen in my mouth! How many lives did you take, girl? How many men fainted on your bed because of the pleasure?” Duza stuttered, trying to explain herself: “I… defeated and killed many men… I… only had one man in my bed some time ago… But… not lately…” Sonja raised her right hand to stop her. “Enough! You are boring me, girl! And you, why do you have my Magical Card? Where is Riattus, the Ancient Sage Summoner?” “He kind of died four hundred years ago. I inherited your Card and the others he had.” Sonja looked sad. “Someone was able to kill him? Impossible! We fought in so many battles, we were never defeated! I was with him in one enormous battle against many Mages and soldiers, and that was the last time I saw him! What happened?” Ronald answered while looking at Duza from the corner of his eye, “From what I heard, during his last battle, he used a very powerful Magic that killed all of his opponents. But it backfired and destroyed his body. I found his hideout and his Card Box… I am sorry; it seems you liked him.” “Of course I did! He was not only the owner and creator of my Magical Card, but he was also my friend and comrade! And on more than one occasion, my lover… But for you to be able to summon me… Okay, from this day onward, I shall call you Lord Ronald! I will fight alongside you every time you call me, killing anyone who defies you!” “Wait, a minute! Who said anything about killing? You may be used to doing that with Riattus, but I am not him! Are you going to obey me, or do I need to order you to go away and never use your Card again?” Sonja strongly shook her head. “No! I was sleeping for four hundred years; I need to see the World, the sky, feel the wind in my hair, and a horse between my thighs! But, like I said before, I am not your average Magical Being! You need to prove to me that you are worthy of wielding my Magical Card! If you don’t let me kill, at least provide me with some similar amusement! If you know what I mean…” She winked one eye with a smile, and Ronald stopped to think for a while. He then took a deep breath before answering, “Red Sonja, here is Duza Sonanji, a very important person to me. I won’t insult her by being with you if you know what I mean…” Sonja looked at Duza from top to bottom and ordered, “Girl, get up; let me take a better look at you! Grab your sword and show me your best fighting stance! Clench your teeth and flex your muscles!” Duza jumped from the bed without even thinking and did as she was told. Sonja walked around her, touching her arm muscles and thighs. She poked her belly to feel the abdominal muscles and slapped her ass to check if it bounced or if it had muscles. Finally, she grabbed one of Duza’s breasts and squashed it a little. She caressed her hair and looked into her eyes for a while. She then took a step back and offered Duza a handshake and a genuine smile. “You may be worthy of having me as your friend, Duza Sonanji! I trust the life of Lord Ronald to you when I am not around to protect him!” Duza grabbed her hand and shook it as well, putting too much strength into a regular handshake because Sonja was trying to squash her hand. Or she was so strong that she didn’t realise she was almost breaking Duza’s hand. Sonja put her sword in the sheath on her back and asked Ronald, “So, is there a place where we can speak in private, Lord Ronald? I have many questions for you regarding your Level and Mana. I want to hear everything you know about Riattus. You may have some information that could help me understand what happened so many years ago to my friend. Don’t worry, Duza Sonanji; I won’t try anything, and I won’t let him try anything either. I understood his message. You, on the other hand, look a little doubtful about your own feelings. You need to realize that death and sudden danger can separate a couple, like what happened to me and my dear Riattus. Let’s go, Lord Ronald; she needs to think for herself and rest.” Ronald got up and asked Duza, “Are you okay now? Because I need to talk with her for a while. I will let you rest, and we will speak some more tomorrow morning, okay?” “Yes, because you still need to explain to me how you were able to summon such a powerful Magical Being!” “That, I won’t do. I am sorry, but it’s not safe. Maybe one day. Red Sonja, we can talk some more in my room, okay?” Sonja nodded with a smile. “Yes, and if I can convince you, I would like to go for a walk to see if I can find a place to have a few drinks! I don’t drink for four hundred years! Or get laid!” While leaving Duza’s room, Ronald shook his head and pointed to his room. Upon entering and closing the door behind Sonja, he explained: “Better not, Red Sonja; I don’t want to attract too much attention to myself. Your presence in this City would be too hard to explain. And if you make any kind of mess, I would be the one in jeopardy.” “I understand. I shall refrain my urges until you deem fit.” “So, you had some questions; let me see if I can answer them. I just want you to keep this to yourself; no one must know.” Ronald explained that he could see Riattus because he was bonded to the Card Box. He took his Status Sphere and showed her his Farmer stats, making her frown and smile when he took one ring, and she saw his real stats. He then served as an interpreter between Sonja and Riattus so that she could understand what happened that made him disappear and leave her sleeping as a Magical Card. When Ronald saw Sonja seated on his bed and looking a little restless, he asked what was happening. “I think it was all the talk with Riattus. I feel an itch underneath my panties that needs a good scratch! And if you don’t want to take care of that, at least get me someone who can!” Ronald picked up another Card from Riattus Card Box and threw it. “Summon Conan, the Barbarian! What about this guy?” From the whirlpool, a big and muscular man appeared. With long, dark hair, dressed with only a fur tong, boots made of fur from an animal, and a metal bandana on his forehead to keep the long hair away from his eyes. He immediately made a fighting stance with his long sword and looked around. When he recognized Sonja, he smiled. And he frowned when he saw Ronald, while Red Sonja said, “Oh, I like him! Good choice! Come here, lover boy, I have work for you! And put your sword aside; there’s no fight in here!” Sonja quickly introduced Ronald and pushed him out of his room. “Sorry, Lord Ronald, but I can’t wait any longer! Make sure we are not disturbed; I may become violent and kill anyone who dares interrupt my fun!” “Hey, wait a minute…”
