I felt a wave of confusion wash over me when Kayson led me to a vast field populated by towering, daunting men, but my heart soared when I spotted Calligan.
I waved enthusiastically and dashed toward him, exclaiming,, "I’m so glad you’re here!" Relief flooded my voice. "What’s happening? Why did Kayson bring me here?"
"I’ll find out for you, Luna." He replied.
As we approached Kayson, his furious gaze was fixed on us, especially Calligan, and he reached for my hand, drawing me in closer. Why was he upset?
They exchanged a few words before Calligan turned to explain the situation, causing my eyes to widen in surprise as I looked back out over the men.
"Are... are they going to turn into wolves?" I asked a hint of anticipation in my voice.
"I believe so, Luna. Are you ready for that?"
