STRANGE MAN

The bus got to Abuja in the evening, Demmy paint with the card, she already spent, 20 thousand she had 80 thousand left, she sighed and walked away from the park, until she heard the drivers call

"madam wait oo, iyawo, shey you will not carry your bag?"

"I don't have any bags sir."

the man looked gasped, and nodded, before he left her he warned her if the streets

"Abuja peaceful during the day oo madam, but na night we dey, I will advise say make you go lodge in one hotel."

"oh thanks alot sir, I really appreciate, I'll get going now" Demmy realise wanted to leave the pack, all eyes were on her, and she hated it,worse thing was that she was barefooted. She raised her gown up and walked carefully on the damp floor till she left the pack.

Other passengers were received by their family, while some other ones knew their way, only Demmy was the lost sheep amongst them all.

She asked for directions to the nearest hotel and followed the directions but the distance was a bit far when going by legs, she could have just boarded a taxi, but she had no cash, only card and the taxi driver will not accept a card since he has no POS machine with him unlike in the park. Demmy got tired of trekking in the quiet streets of Abuja, she walked faster and faster following the street lights direction. The street was awfully quiet and dark, only the street lights provided lights for her to see, Demmy finally stopped walking fast and began to sob quietly, little by little her sobs increased, she tried to control her tears but the water kept on flowing, Demmy sat on the road helpless, she cried her heart out in the road, while crying, 4 guys appeared, they looked razz and high on drugs, although they were still smoking and drinking while walking.

"whooooo, look what we have here, Blade" the first guy said, he was wearing a dirty yellow single and a crazy jean. He smiled at her revealing his brown teeth, Demmy got scared instantly, she stood up and began to walk fast

"wait for me damsel, I just want to be your friend" he spoke mockingly

"yeah we just want to be in you, we want to feel you." one of them spoke. They made signals to themselves and separated themselves, two ran towards her quietly.

when Demmy walked further, she felt they had gone, so she looked back to see where they were, to her unbelieve, the four became two, he heart skipped several beats, and the beats were faster than usual, she turned her head beck to the front so she can walk fast, but she was stopped by the other two, she walked backwards, she didn't know what to do, she couldn't outrun the guys not even in the big gown she's wearing.

"hello damsel, how are you?" the walked closer to her seductively, Demmy stammered as tears began to fall

"please, p..p..p..lea...se, just let..me..go" she tried moving sideways but the two at her back caught up with her and held her arms, adrenaline rush took over her, she kicked the man at her frin in his balls and elbowed the guy holding her arms. She ran away from their midst, but they didn't follow her, instead they smiled, them leaving her sent a sort of relief to her, but their evil smiles made her more scared, she walked faster and faster looking back intermittently, suddenly she bumped into a car. The driver can out and cursed in anger, he looked at the girl that almost go hit by his car on the floor, he's anger was quick to disappear when he saw her dress, he looked around and found no on coming for her, he sighed and walked up to her, then he extended his hands to her so he can help her up

"Miss, are you okay?"

"do I look okay to you? I almost got hit" Demmy was paranoid

"well that because you weren't looking at where you were going"

"and that's probably because you over sped, you didn't look at where you were going to"

the man sighed in disbelief, coming from the person that just walked to the road unexpectedly

he ignored her complaints and decided to ask the obvious, "is this a new movie or not? or a content creation? or are you running away from your newly wedded husband?"

he asked, just then Demmy stood up and tried to walk, but her legs were so tired, they could hardly move,

"no, there are no cameras so no, I ran away from my boss, I'm a model, so as a model I was taking pictures with the wedding dress, part of advertisement, so he tried to take advantage of me, then i ran away" she said with a straight face.

"there's our damsel" the guys she was running away from appeared out in the blue

Demmy felt her head spinning, she ran towards the strange man and walked away, but the guy held her hands before she could walk any further

Demmy thought he was part of the men, but she thought again that it was not possible.

"this nights are really dangerous, if you walk any further, you'll meet more of them, now ore of them plus these four, will have no mercy in dealing with you because they are high on drugs, and you said you ran away from a man, you'll end up dealing with 10men"

Demmy swallowed hard after he said it

"please help me, help me please" Demmy said in a whisper, the man noticed the stress in her, he wondered what she must have gone through, he looked at the men and pulled Demmy closer to him, then he bent his heart to her ears

"just follow my plans, I won't hurt you trust me"

somehow, Demmy trusted him.

"is she your damsel Mr man?" one of the thugs asked the man.

"yes, she is, my damsel, let her go in peace please."

the men walked forward, and assessed his car

it was a Lamborghini, a very expensive car, they assumed him to be rich.

"we will if you can pay the price"

"what price?"

"your car looks fitting for a man like me abi"

they all laughed.

"get into the car" he told Demmy, and she answered him immediately.

the man rolled the sleeves of his shirt, and walked forward to the thugs, and gave them a sum of 50, 000, the thugs collected the money and dropped their weapons

the slowly moved back after seeing the money and gun he brought out from his pocket to show them.

"you know it's fully loaded guys, and it can easily send you to paradise, and I don't even think you are going there" he smirked and walked away from them to his car, he ignited the engine and drove off with her..
