Riley's relationship with Eash didn't improve even by half a step after what happened that day. Each would still smile his sunshine smile whenever he saw Riley somewhere, but that was all, nothing more, nothing less. He didn't inquire about her condition or anything at all. Sometimes, they would group up for school projects, and he would talk with her but still talk about the things related to the project only. It is incredibly heartbreaking to accept the truth, but Riley has to do it.
That day, Eash was just being nice to her, as usual. Eash is up to help anyone anytime, but he doesn't keep in touch with any people who receive his help. He helps them out of goodwill, and that's over.
