As expected, Ezra didn't reply to what Riley said. He just stared at her for a few seconds and then drove away. However, Riley was able to see how his emotionless eyes changed for a fraction of a second.
Without lingering there any longer, Riley hurried to the store. The owner was furious because she was late. After apologising multiple times, Riley was able to send him home. She had to restock some of the goods that evening and got busy with her work. So, she couldn't contact Eash as she wanted to.
