"No, Ezra. Everything's okay," Riley hurriedly replied, her voice trembling as she feared the two brothers might clash once again.
Ezra cast a suspicious look at Eash before gently taking Riley's hand. His touch was firm but reassuring.
"It's going to rain soon. Let's get to the car before the storm catches us," he said softly, guiding her forward.
Riley didn't pull away or argue. She simply let Ezra support her as they made their way toward the car park. Her mind was troubled, but she was too exhausted to protest. She didn't want to stay with Eash, letting him bug her for an answer.
