Ch. 37 : The Countships Heir
A few more days passed as Nobles listed in my mother’s documents were arrested and questioned. Many began claiming their innocence and demanding their freedom, calling me all sorts of names and stating that I was unworthy of the very Throne I sat upon. But when my Knights searched through their homes and found evidence of their crimes and schemes, their tunes quickly changed. A few of their families had no clue as to the dark deeds that their family members were involved in, and many were rapidly disowned and abandoned in order to protect the remaining family members and their titles.
