All that is left is for me to do a double check everything is in the right place and put on my shoes when there a knock on the door I yell toward the door "just a second" either not hearing me or just rude there is another knock I yell "coming" just a little louder. I look through the peep hole not recognizing the man on the other side I ask "may I help you?" "Ma'am Mr. Townsend sent me I'm to escort you to the car." Opening the door I mumble to myself "he cant even be bothered to come up himself instead he send a complete stranger to come get me jerk." The guy I assume is his driver just looks ahead all business, we get to the elevator he pushes the buttons still not a word a smile nothing. Getting out of the elevator I almost trip over myself in my rush to get out he grabs me steadying me, we make it to the car without further mishaps he opens the door for me holding my arm to guide me in, I make myself comfortable before looking up right into a pair of eyes I wasn't expecting Parker. Why is he here is this a set up some kind of joke confused I look over to Bennett whose on his phone seems to be having a serious debate so
I couldn't even ask him what the hell. Parker is wearing a smirk I want to slap off his face he leans over "I've been trying to figure you out all day your smarter than I gave you credit for." I'm confused why is this douche bag treated me so horribly what have I done to deserve this s**t please just take me home get me out of this car away from him. I smile hoping it hides the rage building inside me "no its fine I made it
to the car with little incident." Smiling that panty melting smile that makes girls weak in the knees, "that's good, hopefully my son Parker wasn't to hard on you he's convinced I try to sleep with every young pretty girl I take out. that explains some of his attitude but he doesn't know me at least see the evidence before you judge me. The rest of the ride was mostly quiet once we arrived getting out was a bit of a challenge luckily Bennett got out first and was able to assist. He leans in "I knew that dress would look good on you but even I couldn't have imagined this." Seeing Park in my side view I figure he thinks I'm a gold digging w***e I'll play along "Are you flirting with me Mr. Townsend," I giggle like a school girl why not "well guess that depends is it working?"
I smile and give him a little kiss on the cheek looking at Parker so he knows that was all for him.
