6 Charlotte’s wolf prowled, walking her shoulders like a tightrope. Come on… The wolf scented the air and seemed to make a decision before padding down her arm. Tingling warmth overcame Charlotte’s hand. She imagined it transforming and growing, gaining a coating of soft white fur from elbow to fingertips, forming pads and claws. Wyatt took her hand and she opened her eyes. “Nothing,” she groaned. “You’ll get there. Were you having any trouble focusing?” She started to say no, but her lips twitched into a smile. Twining her fingers around his, she looked into his eyes meaningfully. “Maybe?” His blue-eyed gaze softened, turning his serious teacher demeanor into something more appealing. Pulling her close, he muttered, “Just a quick break.” “Of course,” she whispered against his mouth.
