14 Wyatt took in Nancy’s searching expression, realizing that in the dark he could see her clearly, but she likely saw only a shadow, if anything. “It’s me. What are you doing wandering in the dark?” he asked. She released a frustrated sputter while stomping back to the trail. “My flashlight died. Don’t change the subject.” “Change the—” “Are you alone?
