"Hold the line!" Marcus ordered, firing his own weapon at advancing Hunters. "Students to the safe room, now!"
Lily, Simone, and Hannah herded younger pack members toward the reinforced bunker beneath the Pack House. But hunters had already breached the main building.
A silver grenade rolled down the hallway toward them.
Simone, the tracker, saw it first. She grabbed it, used her supernatural speed to throw it back through the window it came from.
The explosion outside took down three Hunters.
"This way!" Lily pushed the pups forward, her newly manifested empathy projection flooding them with calm despite the terror.
Behind them, hunters poured through broken doors.
