Restricted Freedom
Life under the Court's restrictions proved more challenging than anticipated.
Luna was now eleven weeks old with the development of a two-year-old. She understood that she couldn't visit other packs, couldn't play in public spaces, couldn't experience the world like other children.
And she hated it.
"Why can't I go to Diana's pack?" she asked for the tenth time that morning. "Sophie wants to show me her new puppy."
"Because Clearwater territory counts as a populated area. The Court says you can only be in places where your power can't hurt lots of people if something goes wrong." I was getting tired of explaining this.
"But nothing will go wrong. I have good control now."
"I know, baby. But the Court doesn't trust that yet." I set down the report I was reviewing.
