The attack came three days later.
Not on Crescent Moon, but on two reformed packs simultaneously. Riverside and Mountain Ridge, both small territories that had adopted equality policies after watching my success.
By the time we got word, Riverside had already fallen. Twenty-three dead, including their Alpha. The survivors scattered, seeking refuge wherever they would be accepted.
Mountain Ridge was still fighting.
"We can't save them all," Marcus said grimly as we gathered in the war room. "We don't have enough warriors to defend multiple territories at once."
"Then we need to end this differently." I studied the map. "Harrison is playing a game of attrition. He knows we'll exhaust ourselves trying to protect everyone."
