"Autumn pleaseeeeeeee," I beg her.
"b***h I have an entire life, that doesn't revolve around you, or your brother," she groans.
"Right, but you said he sat and read the book all day anyway", I pout.
"Okay but I can't f**k my girlfriend with him here now can I", she says sarcastically.
"I'm sure he wouldn't mind", I say.
"Yeah, nooooo", she says.
"Autumn I am begging you", I plead.
"Where are you going anyway, that's so important", she questions.
I sigh.
"The Cabellos invited me over for dinner", I mumble.
"Hmmm, Cabello? AS IN CAMILA CABELLO?!?! OH, s**t, I KNEW YOU LIKED HER", She squeals.
"Calm your milk makers! They just want to thank me for finding Sofia", I say.
"Yeah, and give you their blessing to marry their eldest daughter", she smirks.
"Look, can you just watch Romeo tonight? I don't want to leave him here alone so he can burn the place down," I groan.
"Fine, but I know you like her", she says cockily.
"I don't 'like' people", I whine.
"You wanna start a family with her! Have Lil Camila's and Y/n's running around your house somewhere in your southern home in the middle of nowhere", She taunts.
"I will arrest you. Keep f*****g with me", I say seriously.
Autumn laughs and walks back into her room.
~~~~~
Despite the butterflies in my stomach I put my best foot forward and get dressed.
I put on my favorite perfume, and look at myself through a mirror.
"Ready for your date," Autumn says from behind me.
"Are you ready to f**k off," I ask sassily.
Autumn rolls her eyes before flicking me off and walking somewhere else.
~~~~~
When I walk up to their door, a wave of nervousness hits me.
Its probably just because of what happened earlier...
or maybe I do like Camila? ABORT!
I shake the scary thoughts from my mind and wipe my sweaty palms on my pants before knocking on the door.
Its been a while since I have been here. Last time I visited was when Sinhue wanted me to catch her car thief. That was years ago! And her car wasn't stolen, it just rolled down a hill, and into a lake. She promised to use the emergency brake after that though.
Camila opens the door and gives me a pretty awkward hug before leading me into the living room.
"Hi everyone," I say nervously.
"Y/n! Glad you could make it," Alejandro says.
"I'm happy to be here", I reply with a smile.
"Where is Mami," Camila asks her father.
"She won't be joining us tonight", he says.
"Oh, okay", Camila says sadly.
Soon we start eating dinner in the dining room.
"So Sofia, you like horses," I ask.
"My parents own a horse camp, it's not really like I have a choice," she says harshly.
"Sofia! You do not talk that way to our guest," Alejandro scolds.
"She took me away from the one guy who actually understood me! I don't exactly like her", she says before excusing herself from the table.
Well, this isn't awkward at all...
"Haha, okay, she is soooo funny, Y/n, you wanna go grab a drink in the kitchen", Camila asks me trying to ease the tension.
"I could go for a drink right about now," I chuckle nervously.
We walk in the kitchen and Camila pulls a bottle of vodka from her fridge.
She pours two shots and we each take one to the head.
"I'm sorry," Camila mumbles.
"For what", I ask as I pour another round.
"My sister... A-and also being a d**k to you in general," she says.
"I wasn't exactly the nicest... I do owe you an apology as well", I say.
"I guess we really did get off to a bad start," she giggles.
I pick up the now filled shot glasses, handing her one.
"To new beginnings," I say.
We cheer and throwback the cool liquid.
a few shots later Camila and I are sitting on her kitchen floor.
"So, did Sofia and Romeo like... have s*x", Camila asks slowly. The alcohol must be setting in.
"Nope, he would have told me", I say, leaning back against a wall.
"Well, that's good... My sister needs to stay innocent as long as she can," Camila says.
"How come," I ask curiously.
"Because of my mom, some stupid religious thing that she always wanted," Camila slurs.
"What about you", I ask.
"Hmm," she hums.
"Are you a virgin", I ask.
"Yeah, but, only because I haven't found the right one," she says.
"That's respectable", I say.
"High five", Camila says randomly.
I giggle at her and give her a high five.
"Are you... I don't know... like, are you into girls", I ask.
"I mean, I don't think so," Camila says unsure.
I snicker.
"What", Camila pouts.
"Nothing," I smirk.
"No tell me," she whines.
"It's really not important," I chuckle.
Camila struggles to crawl over to me. She sits on my lap, and I don't move at first, but hesitantly drape my arms across her lap.
"Do you get gay vibes from me, sheriff," she mumbles against my neck.
I don't say anything, instead, I think of why she was crying after she walked in on Normani and I. In fact, the entire situation we are in, does not seem very heterosexual.
Camila pulls back from me, looking me in the eyes. She furrows her eyebrows and stands up.
"Goodnight Y/n", she says, walking out of the kitchen.
"Wait, Camila, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you", I say.
"Goodnight", she says before I hear a door slam shut.
Alejandro is no longer in the dining room, so I just show myself out.
This has been the craziest dinner, I have ever attended...
