{Your Point Of View}
My parents were supposed to arrive yesterday, but they are nowhere to be found. My parents are not the best people, however, I know that they truly care for Romeo and I. I'm not afraid that they left us, but I am worried that something has happened to them. I'm even more worried that the Dark Majesty had something to do with it. I haven't mentioned anything to Romeo because I don't want him to worry, its probably nothing anyway. But I'm still frightened at the thought of what may have occurred. After I made sure Romeo was asleep, I decide to go for a walk.
I walk towards town, feeling the slight breeze against my skin. I hear the ruffling of leaves behind me, so I know someone is approaching, quickly too. Before I can blink, I'm getting pulled into a nearby bush.
A soft hand covers my mouth and I squirm in fear.
"Shut your mouth! The dark majesty is approaching and unless you want to experience her wrath I suggest you stop moving," A raspy voice whisper yells.
At the mention of the Dark Majesty, I stop resisting. I tilt my head back slightly to see the horse's legs walking, followed by a huge carriage. Soon enough the carriage and horses are out of sight.
I tear the girl's hand off my mouth and crawl away from her.
"Who the hell are you," I ask.
"I'm the girl who just saved your ass", she smirks.
"You have a name," I ask as I stand up, brushing myself off.
"Lauren," she reaches out to shake my hand and I do so hesitantly.
She starts walking in the same direction the carriage just went.
"Woah, what do you have a death wish or something," I ask.
"Something like that", she smirks.
"I'm the head guard of the palace," she says proudly.
I walk over to her and she looks at me confused.
"I'm headed that way, do you think you could let me in," I ask hopefully.
She laughs at me.
"First of all, I would never let anyone in the palace, this is the palace we are discussing! Plus, now that the dark majesty is headed in that direction, it's important that I place it on lockdown."
"I'm friends with Camila, she wants to see me," I say quickly.
"Whether that it is true or not, I'm afraid I can't help you", Lauren says.
"Please, just let me walk with you", I plead.
Lauren stares into my eyes, contemplating her next move.
"We walk in silence, and I'm not making any promises," Lauren says sternly.
I nod and we begin our walk.
Soon we stop at the palace doors and Lauren enters, leaving me in the cold.
A few minutes later, the beautiful princess I was hoping to find opens the door. Only she looks different from when I saw her earlier. Her eyes are red and puffy, and her cheeks are stained with fresh tears.
My body acts before my mind gets the chance to stop it. I hug her tight and she hugs back.
She grabs my hand and brings me up to her room.
"What's wrong? why are you crying," I ask worriedly.
"Something bad is going to happen", she says barely audible.
"Bad, like what", I ask nervously.
"Like everyone's life is about to be in my hands", she sighs.
I sit on her bed next to her and lay my head on her shoulder.
"I have to do this alone," she sobs.
"You're never going to be alone. I'm always going to be right by your side," I say before nervously intertwining our fingers.
I feel strange and my heart is beating fast. I do this whenever Camila and I touch. Even when I'm just around her I feel light-headed. But not in a bad way, I actually like the feeling, crave it too. Maybe that's why I walked all those miles to come to sit with her. But I'm also scared of her, and the things she makes me feel. For some odd reason, she makes me feel happy. And that's scary because happiness never lasts long. I think, maybe I like Camila, as more than a friend. No, I know I do. But what about my soul mate?
I pull out the mirror and Camila gasps when she sees it.
"Where did you get that," she asks shocked.
"My parents gave it to me one night", I explain.
She leaps up and starts digging through her dresser. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.
She walks back to me, holding the exact same mirror.
"H-how", I stutter.
"I don't know," she says with wide.
"Do you see-"
"Through your soul mates eyes? Yes," she says lowly before looking into my eyes deeply.
"It can't be," I mumble.
I look into my mirror and see myself, which means Camila is looking at me, which also means... it's her.
I take a step closer to her and gently place my hand on the back of her neck. Camila's breath hitches causing me to smile slightly. I lean down and let our lips brush before I kiss her sweetly. Camila's knees buckle a bit, which is adorable, but I catch her and hold her in place. She kisses back tugging on my bottom lip gently.
I feel a zoo erupting in my body, and electricity flowing through my veins. The lightheadedness has returned but the feeling of euphoria is so strong that I barely notice it. Its almost as if the missing piece of my puzzle has been put into place.
We pull back blushing incredibly. We sit back down on her bed, and Camila lays her head on my shoulder, and loosely wraps an arm around my waist.
"My parents never came home yesterday," I sigh.
"What?! Why not", she asks worriedly.
"I don't know, I hope they are okay", I say.
Camila grabs my hand making me look at her.
"Everything is going to be okay", she assures me.
"As long as I have you, I'm sure it will be," I smile genuinely.
