(Dominic's POV)
The sheriff walked towards us, the guys we had beaten up scrambled away. I stood my ground, getting ready to fight a again, but the sheriff just smiled, he knew I was at the ready.
"Calm down boss, you're among allies." he said as his eyes changed color to a light blue, he was wolf.
I did relax but was still cautious. I let my ears and nose tell me if there was anyone else around but there wasn't.
"You folks passing through?"
"Yes, sir." replied Tonia, the sheriff nodded but was right back to looking at me. Before he said anything else a little someone came out of the his truck and came to stand next to his legs.
"Daddy, mommy asked what's taking so long?" he said as he handed over a cell phone.
"You two caught me picking up, something the missus forgot for dinner."
