"Ares Salvatore," dad spoke up as he approached me and the others with Liza's hands in his and Dana beside him.
"Mr Ivanov. It is indeed a pleasure." Ares replied, shaking hands with him.
"Is there a gathering going on here?" Edward joined in with his wife beside him.
"You can put it like that." Dad said which made Edward smile before pointing to Austin and Ana, "Meet my other children, Austin and Ana. The Salvatore twins."
"They look like their mother." Liza said with a fake smile.
"We need to have a talk." Dad said seriously, "It's about business."
"Okay," Edward nodded, "we'll leave in a few minutes. We all can go to my house." He suggested to which everyone agreed.
What are you up to, dad?
I was getting anxious. I could never tell what he was planning and that worried me. He was a sick bastard.
"So—" someone leaned in and whispered in my ears, "—we'll be going to my house. I'll show you my room, tesoro."
"Vaffanculo." I glanced at Ares and whispered earning a smirk in response. God knows how many times this man has smirked ever since I've met him which was not more than a few hours ago. [f**k off]
"Don't play hard to get, love." He whispered again, a hint of amusement in his tone.
"Non gioco duro per ottenere—Sono difficile da ottenere." I said loud enough for only him to hear. [I don't play hard to get—I am hard to get.]
"Hai idea di quanto sembri caldo quando parli italiano?" He asked, his lips brushing against my right ear.
[Do you have any idea how hot you look when you speak Italian?]
"What's going on between you two?" Dana's annoying voice suddenly asked, making Ares and I look at her just as our families were looking at us.
"What goes on between us is none of your f*****g business." Ares snapped rudely.
"Do not speak like that to my daughter. She just asked a question." Dad said, glaring at Ares who kept on an emotionless face.
"Tell your daughter to not to speak to me because that's how I'll always speak to her." Ares replied coldly.
"Alexia, you heard him, come here." Dad said, looking at me as he motioned for me to go and stand next to him. Could he be more stupid?
"He wasn't referring to me." I rolled my eyes, shooting him a look. He wanted me to seduce the guy, didn't he? Even though, that wasn't what I was doing.
"Only that daughter of yours. This one is quite fine." Ares said making me raise my brows at him, "Quite fine?"
"My apologies. I meant way much more better." He corrected, his eyes never leaving mine.
"Should I start calling her sister-in-law then?" Austin asked and I looked at him, seeing a smirk tugging at his lips.
"Jokes apart," I said, my voice suddenly cold, "Let's just go to their house and do whatever we're gonna do."
"Someone is eager to go to my house, I see." Ares muttered under his breath so that only I would hear. I rolled my eyes at him, "you wish."
"Let's go." Edward said, his brows furrowed as he glanced at Ares then at me before he began walking away with Mirabella and his two other children. Dad, Dana and Liza started following them as well. We all went outside and they got into their own cars while me and Ares went to our own separate cars.
