DALA Vander stood still, his breathing ragged, but he didn’t fight against the hands restraining him. The anger in his eyes had dimmed, replaced by a mellow look I just couldn’t wrap my head around. My heart pounded so hard I could feel it in my throat. I shouldn’t be here. “I said what the hell is going on here!?” The Alpha’s voice thundered through the hall, rattling my ribs. I flinched, instinctively shrinking back, but Vander didn’t move. He just stood there, blood staining his hands, his chest rising and falling in heavy breaths.
