Loving me

Another day but a new one.......

After I fell asleep I woke up in the morning a little restless as I hear my alarm going off on the bedside table. I had a vivid dream last night but I can't remember it. So I let it go and get ready to start my day.

As I was getting ready after shower I look myself in the mirror, the face reflecting back in the mirror gave me a pause. The person in the mirror has sparkling eyes with excitement and my face has a smile so bright. It is like looking like my old self. I'm shocked and freaked a little. When I composed myself I looked at my reflection again and I felt so happy. It was a great relief to know I'm not broken completely. Then I thought about my reason of my mood my smile dulled a bit. It made me think back to what happened yesterday with my boss. A blush crept onto my cheeks but I ignored it and left for office.

At the entrance to the office I composed myself and brought out my usual stoic expression to my face and joined my boss in the office. As I arrived I greeted him but he was not alone. There are three more people other than him so he introduced them to me that they will our team mates for the programme and explained to them about me. So we introduced each other. There are one woman and two men, they all were around same age as mine.

The girl name was Annabelle Marshals but said to call her Anna, the men are one is Marcus and another is Alex, after the introductions we set out our work and started working on the special laptops as they are private and interconnected to the five of us only. After working for two to three hours we all decided its time to take a break.

As I raised to leave risandh started to say something to me but Anna came close to me and said "finally another girl in the team." it made others to laugh. I looked at Risandh and he mouthed to me later. We all have the lunch together. I got to know that the four of them were friends from the college days and worked with him all this time. Anna said that Risandh is a recluse but a great friend. He doesn't date at all and not shown any interest in women. She also joked that maybe he is secretly gay which made him protest and all of us to laugh.

They made me feel welcome and treated me like one of them instead like a colleague. It felt great for me yo chat with them. They are so friendly. When they asked me about I told them I came from X Town and that I'm a orphan which dampened the mood a little and I assured them it happened six years ago and I'm fine now. Then Marcus cracked a joke then everything went to normal. It seems that the Anna and Marcus are the trouble makers of the group and Alex is nerd and Risandh is the peace keeper. After we all got back to work.

I also got to know that they all are staying with Risandh at his farm house in the town. His place is really near to my own flat. Then as the evening came the work we have set out to complete didn't clear so they said to meet up at the farmhouse and I reluctantly agreed. So Risandh offered to drive me to my flat and get me to the farmhouse so me and Risandh walked to his car while they got to their truck and we all drove to our destinations.
