Chapter 3: Personal Attack

I miss the old days when my mom used to read me stories before bed. It was the best time of the day before we moved. We lived close to the beach before we moved to the city. We had so much fun and when my mom was done reading me the story my dad would bring us ice cream. Then I would remember going to sleep with the warm bright orange beams of light on my face making it warm. But those are the things that are making it hard to do this I want my parents to be here with me but the only thing I can do is make them proud. 4 Months later everything was going great in till I thought AI was a good idea. I should have taken Elon Musks' advice and not made AI. Eventually, AI took over a lot of things in Earth 2 but it was not from the code it was from someone hacking into the AI which shouldn’t have happened I designed them to be unhackable. One day they were working fine and out of knowing started to hurt people for no reason. We had no way to fight them at all I didn’t know how to fight I’m not the type of person to learn s**t like that. “Jordan what the hell is going on” (said Hesh running into my office) “I don’t know I’m trying to figure it out Hesh” “well hurry we are trying our best to take them down” “with what exactly…your fists or maybe a broom” (I said very cocky) “now is not the time for bitchy comments Jordan” “then let me do my job and you go do yours please”. I got up and went down to my basement in my office and Hesh followed me. “Why are we down here” “for weapons”( I said as I scanned my hand on a wall of what seemed like nothing) “what the hell Jordan” (Hesh said as a wall of swords and bows were revealed) ”yeah this was out here just in case of emergency’s thanks to scarlet we have the best swords and bows in the universe right now” “well then we are the only ones who can fight right now we don’t have an army” “yeah I know but I have two friends who can fight and have training so grab something and fight”. I grab two swords and I head up the stairs and out my office doors and I start to just cut the s**t. My swords were so sharp they were clean cuts threw their metal faces. then I saw someone running over the hill and he had a similar suit as me and he was walking with the AI like he was their leader. “Hey who are you” “my name is Jordan” “Who are you” “my name is Jannar” “why are you controlling my AI” “because I was told to kill you…my father wants you dead and he asked me to kill you so I don’t ask questions I just kill for him” “well I guess we can try and find out who will win this fight” “I was told you have no training so I’m sure I’ll end up winning this fight”(said Tannar) “well I’m not going down without a fight…this is my world and I intend on protecting it”. Tanner jumped and I stabbed him somehow and I felt this rush and somehow, I was able to fight better and just know what he was going to do next. We were fighting for about 20 minutes and I did get cut sometimes and so did he. I felt so exhausted but I knew I had to keep going for my people so I got up and cut his helmet in half and threw my sword at his left leg and it went right through it. “Ahhhhhh trust me I… will be back” “keep telling yourself that man and next time get a better costume because mine is better”. After the fight, Hesh and Jay found me and ran over to me. “Jordan are you okay” (Jay said concerned) “yeah…for some reason my wounds…they healed on their own” “what are you talking about?” (Hesh said confused) “where my suit is damaged there were cuts there” (I said as I tried to make sense of all this) “let’s get you out of here…and where did that guy go” (Jay said looking around) “he left and hopefully never returning”. After everything happened, I ran so many tests on myself just so I could get some answers. Every test I ran on myself said I was fine and nothing was wrong. I started to think to myself what if it was the suit? Also, the suit was taking in the sun's rays since the color black absorbs sun rays. The suit did give me my powers the rays did something to me but now I know what I have to do to protect my people. Hesh and Jay walked into the lab and asked what was going on ”hey did you find anything about your…powers”(Hesh said laughing “I think that I’m immortal…I know it sounds crazy but the rays of the sun gave me powers” “what that can’t be possible” “I know but we are on a new and entirely different planet so I think it could be possible” “well now you have powers so what do you plan on doing with them”(said Hesh)“yeah because what if you become evil and s**t”(Jay said)“Maybe I will be evil…having powers I could take over so many planets in this ever expanding universe”(I said seriously but as a joke) “oh no you don’t”(Hesh said) “Guys come on I’m not going to be evil…I saved as many people as I could on Earth and brought them here” “true, but I’ve got my eye on you Jordan”(Jay said laughing) “whatever you say…but to answer your question I’m going to learn everything there is about fighting and all of the weapon combat…once I learn all that I’ll make my unique fighting style only I’ll know…unless my attacker learns my style but I don’t think they’d care to learn”(I said trying to think how to learn fighting styles) “why don’t you call your girlfriend about it”(Jay said starting to laugh) “what girlfriend?” (I said confused) ”scarlet the one who checks in on you”(Jay said) “we are not dating Jay” “yeah bullshit she came to see you how many times she wants you”(Jay says) “yeah dude she’s into you…have you ever had a girlfriend before”(Hesh said laughing) “no, I haven’t doesn’t mean I can’t see the signs” “dude there was like 20 signs pointing to she wants you”(Jay said) “well I’m not going to date her I want to stay friends” “what the…”(Hesh said surprised about what Jordan just said) “Jordan you need to get out more…like it’s concerning”(Hesh said laughing a bit but also serious) “I will when I’m training so I’ll see you guys then”. I ended up going to my portal room and trying to find a good planet with a really good history of fighting and for a while, I didn’t find anything. Most planets in the area are either dead planets or just starting to obtain life on them. I heard a knock on the portal room door so I went over to the door and opened it to see scarlet. “Hey, stranger what are you doing” “hey…I’m looking for a place to learn how to fight” (I said surprised to see scarlet) “you should go to Chapel he is a great Master of Martial Arts he trained me” “wow hold on let me set the coordinates to Zero and I’ll let you type them on the computer” “Jordan he’s going to push you and he will break bones…he makes you feel pain so you become numb to it” “just what I need if I feel the pain that’s good…than I’ll know not to get hit”. She typed in the coordinates and the portal opened I put my suit on and I was debating on going through. I ended up going through the portal and on the other side was a big open area where people were practicing or learning. We were in a monastery a big one in the middle of what seemed like a jungle. I saw who I guessed was Chapel so I walked up to him. He looks very old but also looks like he knows a lot. He is wearing a white cloak with white loose clothing over it. His pants are white as well but he didn’t have anything on his feet. "You must be Chapel…right?” “Yes, I am and who might you be” “I’m Jordan Bennicoff I am here to learn everything there is to know about your martial arts” “your will to endure pain and know what it feels like to break bones during your training” “yes, whatever I have to do to make sure my planet and people remain safe” “well then let’s begin Jordan”. The first week was God-awful. Chapel had a BO staff made of wood and was about six feet in height and 4 inches thick. Chapel hit me in the chest over and over and then switched to my back and just unleashed pain. I remember my body feeling numb and I had black and blues everywhere and yeah, I had healed but I still felt the pain all of it. We then practiced sword fighting and he cut me over and over until I learned to not leave spots open for my enemies to kill me. After that, he taught me a hand to hand combat which sounds fun but was bad. I went to punch him and I kept doing more and more intill he grabbed my arm and kicked my elbow it broke my arm. He broke my back and I couldn’t walk for 3 days intill my healing kicked in. It was about 5 months of training and when it was over, I went to him. “Chapel, you have a minute” “always…take a seat kid” “did I do good out there with my training” “Jordan you did better than most…most people quit when I use my staff to make them go numb…some people pass out but you…you didn’t you kept yourself together. When we were sword fighting you were able to block attacks and learned how I moved. You watched my steps but you didn’t care if you got cut you made sure to watch my movements until you learned them” “it’s easier to learn when someone is going to attack but when you only see their sword moving your eye tends to stick to the weapon and not the movement on where he’s going to strike” “your right kid now you have the training…I want you to do good things Jordan your people need a hero like you to protect them…if anything you’re a god but you may want to make a better suit than the one with cuts everywhere” “I’m working on a new one don’t worry and thank you Chapel I will be back to see you one day” (I went to shake his hand) “your always welcome here kid” (he shook my hand). I went back to the portal and went through it and I was back in the portal room. I look around and saw things were different like obviously noticeable differences. Everything had a whiter sleek very modern type feel and everything seemed way more futuristic with my computer on the wall with a holographic keyboard and mouse. My desk was a smoke great and it had my papers organized which is a first. Walking into my office to the left where all my books were on a bookshelf and in the car right corner was my other desk which was black and red and behind it is a window replaced 3 feet of a wall from the corner going outward. Including a little balcony for me to look at over the new city that looks beautiful with so many skyscrapers that are glowing with beautiful blue lights. The houses have expanded a lot I’m guessing we have lots of kids being born or we have visitors from other galaxies.
