The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow across the city as the evening air became infused with the promise of something special. The time had finally arrived for our dinner date. I paced my apartment, excitement bubbling within me like a fizzy drink. Thoughts of our last encounter flooded my mind—our kiss, soft and lingering, a sweet reminder of the growing connection between Kennan and me.
