A DAY WITH STEPHANIE

CHAPTER FIVE

It was a cold evening at the hour of 8pm I decided to sit in front of my apartment listening to cool music, when my phone rang and it was a strange number I haven't seen the number before I paused and look at my phone and wondering who could be calling me at this hour of the day I let it hand up and the caller called the second time this time i picked up and said "Hello' who am i speaking to?.. the caller kept calm and said nothing, i was nervous and asked again "who are you please" this time the caller replied "i am Stephanie the company's secretary; good evening Dalton i hope your good?... I was speechless and I kept calm for a few minutes "yes I am good" why are you calling me and how did you get my contact?... well am calling in respect of the documents given to me today by the manager through my assistant.

I think you and I got some job to do, we are supposed to work on a project together and yes I got your contact from the file given to me.i felt good about the news well that's good to hear and how do we go about the project she said well this project has to be presented by weekend so you have to make decisions if you will come to my apartment or I come to yours so we can put heads together to do this project, I was surprised and never believed she called and she was willing to spend a day with me in any location just to get this project done I was amazed and said well you should make your choice location as for me either way is better, she kept calm for a while and said ok!!! I'll be in your apartment by tomorrow evening after work I calmly said ok I am cool with that, she hung up the phone at that point I felt really good about all this and i decided to do a quick clean up because I know i wont be chance to clean up the house by tomorrow because I'll be working, I cleaned all part of the house both kitchen and the toilet with my living room also.

When I was done cleaning I took bread and peanut butter from the fridge for dinner and fell asleep while I was sleeping in my dreams I was having a polite conversation with Stephanie about the project, she was giving her own opinion on how we can go about this project, as she was talking I was listening with so much excitement, we had so much time in my dreams while I was listening to her in my dreams my alarm rang and i woke up it was morning I looked around and smiling, and quickly did my exercises and jumped into the shower after which i went to the kitchen and made some toast bread and tea for breakfast, I decided to eat in the kitchen because I really want to see Stephanie as I was staring at the window in her kitchen she showed up and was making something for breakfast.

I was still eating when a car horned and it was my driver I quickly walked to my room and got my files for work and left I got to work before Stephanie; I walked into my office exchanging pleasantries when I got into the office Dolores walked in "Hey Dalton, how was your night?..." It was good thank you, she smiled and walked away i quickly called her back to the office, she came back with so much anticipation I looked at her "Dolores; did you by any chance know i and Stephanie are handling a project together? No!!! she said looking at me with surprise I touched her hand and said it's fine you can go back to your office, she gently did obey and went back to her office shutting behind the door.

As I was attending some work on my desk Stephanie walked in and tried to inform me that I have to be up and doing so we could meet up with the project requirements; when she said that I nodded my head and said yeah!!! I don't want to give her much attention because I don't want her to know I have a crush on her so I responded casually when she was done talking to me she walked to her office and i continued with my work.

After work the driver drove me home reaching the house I thought of calling Stephanie I need to know the best time to meet for the project and reconfirm the location of meeting each other, as I was about calling her I saw her driving in and I waited for her when she was close to where I was standing I waved at her and she stopped brought down her car glass and said; don't forget our meeting today!!! I nodded and said that's why I was standing waiting for you ma'am, so what time are we supposed to meet today, she looked at me and said 8pm will be fine, and please make sure your house is not unkept, I smiled and said ok ma'am with a calm voice till.

At 8pm Stephanie called and decided to change the location, and said we should be meeting in her apartment I asked her why the change of location she said nothing, and said Dalton; am waiting please come over quickly I said ok give me few minutes, I pick up my stuffs and walked to Stephanie's apartment when I got there i knocked and she opened the door and ask me to come in which i did sluggishly and she shut the door behind me gently and asked me to sit down while i was busy looking around her living room stylishly "what can i offer you?..." anything will be fine for me she quickly went into her kitchen and brought me a cup of coffee and said show me what you have done so far?... I brought out all my contributions and she went through it and made some corrections politely when she was done with mine she brought out her own contributions and I went through her's also I went further to do some corrections and we decided to merge the two work together.

We started working on presenting the project as a group work after a few hours of preparation we felt we had done enough on the project and I saw Stephanie's face full of smiles and satisfaction, deep down inside of me i felt so happy and good at least we got the job done Steph looked at me and said; can i get one more cup of coffee for you?... I accepted the offer and she brought a cup of coffee for me and one for herself too.

She looked at me and said thank you for your cooperation I then realized it was the first time am coming this close to her I felt good about it and told her am glad we came together with one mind and understanding just to achieve one goal, well Stephanie I have to go now its time for me to get some rest I got work to doing tomorrow, she smiled and decided to see me off to the door when I got to the door she said goodnight Dalton I'll see you tomorrow at work I hope things goes well with the project presentation, "goodnight Stephanie" i quickly walked to my block with so much satisfaction hoping things goes well with the project, when i got home I ate spaghetti I bought on my way from work I took a quick shower and went to bed peaceful with a beautiful smile knowing that hopefully soon things will work out for I and the woman am so much attracted to, Stephanie has all I needed in a woman, she's brave hard working smart beautiful tall and dedicated with her job.
