The sun had barely set when Nathan trudged through Valentino's gates. He yawned as he glanced round, taking in the beautiful layout. The trimmed bushes littered the front yard, alongside layered grass and lovely fountains, giving it a regal look. He looked over at the dog cage tucked in a corner, pulse quickening slightly, before he heaved a sigh of relief. They were asleep. He hadn't gotten much chance to explore the house yet. The only places he knew where the rooms he'd been in. He wondered if there was more to see in the back, but doubted he'd ever be able to go there. What if that was where Valentino kept the bodies of the people he'd murdered? He shuddered, chuckling softly, as the thought swirled in his head.
