Silver had never seen a man cry so beautifully. Glossy eyes stared up at him, blue pupils sparkling like burning sapphire as they caught the moonlight. Time stilled for him, every breath slow as his chest tightened with an emotion he'd grown to suppress. It bit at his reasoning, commanding a wave of smouldering heat through him in its wake. He took in Nathan's crimson face, tracing the bloodied slit on his lower lip. His eyes widened slightly at the sight. And then, they darkened. Who made him cry? The question gnawed at him. It wasn’t worry. It was something darker—unreasonable, for a stranger to feel. Images of Nathan writhing in pain, crying, begging, screaming assaulted his mind like wildfire. And the thought of someone other than him enjoying that tore through him.
