Leila.
What was I doing? I was a hunter feeding a vampire my blood. If there were a vampire hunting rule book, this would be one of the things you should never do. It wasn't right. But it felt right, I feel like I should be doing this. Lloyd doesn't drink at first, but I keep nodding, telling him it is okay.
And then I felt his teeth pierce my skin. I'd never had a vampire drink my blood before. I wince slightly, but I don’t want him to think he has to stop if he needs more. The sting of him drawing blood from my skin is painful, but tolerable. I can tell that he is trying not to hurt me, the pain sends a chill through my body My arm starts to tingle. The feeling is indescribable. But as he withdrew from my wrist the stinging intensifies. I gasp quietly as I see blood pour from my wrist, it’s not as much blood as I was expecting. Lloyd quickly gets a plaster and places it over my wrist. I guess he doesn't want to see the blood as much as I did. We sit in silence for a bit. Unsure of what to say about what just happened.
"Um, I have to go." I say, breaking the silence.
As I got up, so did he. He puts his hand on my shoulder and turns me back around. He looks at me for a little while. Then he begins to lean in closer, as did I. And our lips touch. It felt like time had frozen for what seems like hours, but was only a few seconds. A few seconds of magic. As we drew back we didn't say a word, again
"Bye." He says, looking at me.
I walk out of the house. As he closes the door, I stop. I take a deep breath, bringing a finger up to my lips.
Did that just happen?
As I take my finger away I look at it, and then I tilt my head up to the sky. And I smile.
I had just kissed a vampire.
Crap.
