The wails I released felt as they crawled up from my very soul. Andre held to me as the last of the horrid sound left my body, and I finally went limp in his arms. I felt empty. "I know what that feels like." I whimper into his shoulder. "I knew what she was feeling. That hopelessness. It hurts me that I can't take it from her. I can only do as much as I physically can, but I can't read her mind. I can't be within her mind with her and save her from those thoughts, and that is what kills me!" I sob. "I wish I could fight it for her." I whimper. "I know, brotha, I know." Andre soothes me. "You can't always be her hero. There will be times it's up to her. She has to want to fight." I hear Raph's voice rumble softly. "Exactly." Ant's voice agrees. Pulling away from Andre, I blink a few times
